Good morning, Friends! I am excited to share that I will be your Growing In Unity gal all week long starting today. Which by the way...May the 4th Be With You! haha No, I don't have a Star Wars inspired card for you this year but I am going to talk a little bit about my favorite card kit - The Whit Kit from Unity Stamp Co. I love this kit because you get a full exclusive RUBBER stamp set, of course of the Unity Stamp cling and quality that you've come to love. Plus a custom pattern paper pack and card embellishment or supplies that all coordinate together perfectly. It's a phenomenal deal!
The cards I'm making today come from the March kit which is no longer available. I fell in love with the sentiments as soon as I saw them. I love the look of florals intertwined in lettering. The mix of patterns and textures in the pattern paper pack is so good. I loved all the neutrals in this one. I thought it would be fun to heat emboss the sentiment in different colors and create a bunch of cards to have on hand to mail out. I love this look for simple cards. And it's not hard to mass produce these at all.
Here is another card I made using the same technique and Wow! Embossing powders except I reversed them and did Oasis for the sentiment and Rose Glintz for the edge. The two powders I chose are translucent so it altered the color of the teal just a tad on the darker pattern paper. I would love to try these with some opaque embossing powders as well. In fact, I will be going live on my YouTube Channel this morning at 9am MST to show you how I created both of these cards! I thought it would be fun to go live each morning to share my project with you this week. I hope you will consider joining me each day.
Also, at the end of the week, the best part of being a GIU Gal is being able to select two winners to receive 25 random stamps from Unity Stamp Co!!! So be sure to leave your comments on each blog post this week, k?
Oh and just one more thing, because I'm part of the Wow! Embossing Design Team, you get 10% off your purchase from either the USA or UK websites! Beautiful cards! I found Unity about 6 months ago and love their stamps. I don't belong to any clubs right now but know what you mean about not using the monthly stamp. I just ordered some WOW embossing powders from Catherine Pooler and look forward to trying them. Thank you for sharing.

The m new to card making and stamping, I honestly never thought about how embossing on patterned paper would change things up. Thanks for the tip, I’ll definitely give it a try!

Those are such beautiful cards. Even though they are quick to make, the lettering and textured look paper makes them not simple looking at all.
