**As a Guest Artist for Ranger Ink, I receive product in exchange for my posts. This post may also contain affiliate links when possible at no cost to you. Clicking on these links helps me continue to bring you great content and I thank you for your support!**

Hi friends! I'm so excited to be back with my first Ranger Ink Guest Artist post for the year! I pulled out some of my all time favorite Dina Wakley products and fell in love with a new paint color while creating this page. I love when that happens. It's one of her original colors I believe as well. Nothing like falling in love with something old and making it new again. I did some gel printing for this page using her brand new WHITE journal tags. I think I've been waiting for these to fall in love with tag making, too! haha

To see the full project including the step by step tutorial,  please visit the Ranger Ink Blog! I also have a full process tutorial available on my Youtube channel or you can watch below!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I would love it if you would click on the button below to subscribe to my blog to let me know you enjoy what you see and would like to see more!

Scrapbook.com Tim Holtz Travel Stamp Platform First Impressions Video and Card

**As an affiliate with Scrapbook.com, I sometimes receive product in exchange for my posts. This post may also contain affiliate links when possible at no cost to you. Clicking on these links allows me continue to bring you great content and I thank you for your support!**

Hi everyone! I'm here today sharing a fun card I created using some supplies sent to me from Scrapbook.com! I recently became an affiliate with them (YAY!) and the asked if I would like to try out the Tim Holtz Travel Stamp Platform. I love stamp platforms and was curious about this one so I said absolutely. I love the small size - really perfect for taking along to crops or if you're like me, just not taking up so much space on your Ahem, messy desk! ;) The two cool features I find unique is there are no edges on the side or top allowing you to use full size card bases in the stamp positioner to add images and sentiments easily for one layer cards without working about the card getting bend in the door. The other feature I love is it is super easy to lift the door from the hinge to switch sides depending if you are using rubber stamps or clear stamps - both fit perfect in this stamp positioner! All in all, this has been a great additional tool in my craft room and I look forward to using it with more projects!

I decided to create a card with the Travel Stamp Platform and did a little Oxide Ink Blending on my card base as well as watercoloring this absolutely FUN stamp set by Art Impressions. I just love these ladies and this image went perfect with all the sentiments in the Scrapbook.com stamp set called Best Friends Forever.

I hope you enjoy the video either here or over on my YouTube Channel today! Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Until next time, Stay Inspired, be Creative and Share that with others!

Compensated affiliate links are used when possible. Using the links when you see something you like helps me with a teeny tiny kickback without changing the price for you at all. It's a small way for you to support my art and my channel. Thank you so much!

Sketching and Watercoloring a Peacock

Last month, I tried to follow the Doodlewash watercolor challenge prompts..actually it was in JANUARY! oh my, I just realized, hello, it's March...anyway, I digress...ok, so I try to follow their prompts and failed miserably - made it about 5 days. LOL This peacock was one of those days...I filmed it and really wasn't proud of it but I thought it would be ok to share because I'm not perfect, I'm still learning this beautiful medium I love so much and I did learn something valuable lessons during this session that I want to share:

1. This 4x4 field journal has watercolor paper in it but not both sides of the paper accept water and pigment the same. So in a two page spread like this, you can really see the difference between the left and right hand sides.

2. Using a water soluble graphite pencil you lose the lines fairly quickly - which I did want when I went into it but I didn't realize how much I'd lose right away making the painting even more difficult.

3. Sometimes it's ok to do wet on dry. I love wet on wet and I tried to do this entire painting wet on wet which turned to mud in a lot of places. I've since learned to love the process of glazing.

Let me know what you think about this type of video. I'd love to share more videos this year and not having to do a full voice over would help me be able to get more of these types of videos out to you but I'd love to hear from you.
