To kick things off this year, I'm sharing a project I created for Shawn Petite Creative Team that fits this christmasy theme beautifully.

**As an affiliate for Waffle Flower Crafts, I sometimes receive product in exchange for my posts. This post may also contain affiliate links when possible at no cost to you. Clicking on these links helps me continue to bring you great content and I thank you for your support!**

Hi friends! Today I'm sharing a super cute one layer watercolor card featuring Waffle Flower Stamps! I absolutely adore this stamp company so when they reached out asking if I would be interested in some stamp sets to create videos with, I jumped at the opportunity to say yes! I love the style of their Bear & Bird collection so it had to be the first card I created. I have so many ideas for the other stamps I received as well as even more I purchased myself. Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube Channel so you're notified as soon as those go live.

I love the style of these stamps and think they look beautiful painted in this loose, no line almost story book style. After I finished watercoloring, I added back in the details of the stamps with colored pencils.

You can watch the coloring on my youtube channel or below:

Speaking of cute stamps  — it is Black Friday and there are some AMAZING deals at Waffle Flower this weekend. Check them out below!

The first one I want to be sure you know about is their incredible Grab Bag event. For just $25 you can get an assortment of new and old products worth 3 times that! They have a stamp grab bag, a stamp/die combo grab bag and a die grab bag. The awesome thing is that you can get all 3 and there is NO overlap in product between the 3. Of course, if you already own some of their stamps or dies, there is a possibility of getting duplicates but then you could gift them to your crafty friends. It’s a win win no matter what! This amazing event ends tomorrow, November 30, so don’t delay!

Waffle Flower Flash Sale - 50% Off Last Chance Items

The next amazing deal is their black friday event that lasts through the weekend to December 2. You can get an additional 25% off their closeout section. Grab your favorites before they are gone forever. Be sure to use the code BF19 when you check out!

I want you to know I am grateful for all of you and thank you so much for stopping by during this holiday weekend!

Clever Fox Planner Flip Through + Giveaway!

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing a new planner I've been using. When Clever Fox Planner sent me an email asking if I'd like to review their planner, I went to their website and started looking at the different ones they had. When I started looking at the Weekly Planner, I knew it would be perfect for what I use a planner for. While my planner at the time was super cute, it just wasn't functioning for me. I had tried Bullet Journaling before and loved all the different trackers but HATED creating the layouts each month and week in order to do so. It was so tedious and I found myself NEVER planning. I was excited to try  the Clever Fox Weekly Planner because it seemed to be the both of best worlds for me!

I love the monthly layout. It's sized perfectly to fit my favorite planner stamps from The Greeting Farm. I also like that there is a place to make small notes as well as goals for the month. Another neat feature is a place to look back on the month to see what worked and what you need to improve on.

After all the monthly layouts, you come to the weekly layout. You have the full week on the left with a horizontal layout to write your lists and appointments. Then on the right, it's all about your goals as well as a place for notes. My favorite part is the Habit/Skills tracker! I have always loved this part of Bullet Journaling but hate coming up with my own trackers. LOL This is by far my favorite part of this planner! While I wish there was more room on the days, I've found I can create columns within that space on days when there is lots to do! Again you have a place to look back on the week and document your wins as well as a place to brainstorm how to improve for the next week.

After all the weekly spreads there is a section of dot grid paper for taking notes, creating custom trackers, etc. I used it to test my pens to see which ones bleed - this paper is really good in that I only had a bit of ghosting with the Microperm pen but that was it.

I also used this place to test my black ink pads since I love using stamps in my journal. This helped me figure out which ink pad to use when I decorate my monthly spreads. Again the paper really held up here as the only one that had a little bit of ghosting was my Versafine Claire Nocturne ink pad.

I am super excited about continuing to use this planner. It really fits my needs and has all the things I love about planning. I didn't take pictures but the first few pages of this planner also includes a place to make goals, list gratitude and affirmations as well as mapping out how to achieve your goals - even a two page spread for a Vision Board! Be sure to check out the Clever Fox Planning website this week to take advantage of their 15% off Black Friday special as well as check out their new Premium Weekly Planner with more room, pages to write out goals and pretty new stickers! I also love their new Cash Envelopes Budget System!! As someone who has been debt free since 2013 because of Dave Ramsey, I totally LOVE that they have this!

Clever Fox Planner is graciously giving away one planner to a lucky person to go along with my review! To find out all the details and enter the giveaway, be sure to head over to my YouTube channel. Watch the entire flip through including the pages I mentioned here in the front of the journal, then leave your comment ON the video to be entered (not here on the blog.)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Simple Watercoloring with Stamped Images {Picket Fence Studios}

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a card I created using Picket Fence Studios stamps and some of my favorite handmade watercolors. I really like the look of this type of line art image and couldn't wait to create a painterly look using my watercolors for a clean and simple card.

I love the soft look these watercolors created - this is one of my favorite techniques to use when watercoloring stamps and watercoloring in general. It's quick, simple and super effective (to quote on of my favorite YouTubers!)

I hope you will enjoy the watercolor process video to create this card below or on my YouTube channel. SPOILER ALERT: I had a super cute buddy "helping" me or rather keeping my company for this one. If you aren't already a subscriber, I would appreciate your support and as always truly appreciate each and every one of you!

Picket Fence Studios + Watercolor for World Cardmaking Day 2019!

Hi everyone! Happy World Cardmaking Day 2019!! A couple weeks ago (or maybe just a week ago?!) I went to the Scrapbook Expo in Denver and fell in love with a new to me company - Picket Fence Studios. I had a blast with friends and got some new goodies of course like this cute mermaid stamp.

Along with her, I picked up some new Prima Marketing, Inc watercolor palettes and couldn't wait to pair them together.

I hope you'll check out the coloring video on my youtube channel or below! Thanks so much for visiting my blog today and hope you have a great day celebrating World Cardmaking Day!

#ShowUsYourMEdia Gratitude Challenge #1

Hi everyone! Happy mixed media Monday - after a long summer focused on our house and getting it ready to list, it has been so nice to get back to doing some art in my free time again. I have packed up a lot of my supplies and I am actually really enjoying the simplicity of not having ALLTHETHINGS because I have realized that clutter actually stifles my creativity...so hopefully I can keep this up!

I am working in the Dina Wakley Media 6x6 journal for the #ShowUsYourMEdia A Year of Gratitude challenge that started up again this month. For more details, be sure to check out the Ranger Ink blog. Dina Wakley's blog is a great place to see just how gratitude can improve your quality of life and why she chose to focus on it for the next 12 months.

The first challenge prompted us to think about Simple Pleasures in our lives. Once you start thinking about it, the list becomes endless but the first thought that ran in my head was simply: Music. I Love music...LOVE LOVE LOVE.  I can listen to it all day long. In fact, one of the reasons I do voice overs is because when I'm creating art, I listen to music. LOUDly.

I hope you will enjoy the process video below as well. I go more into the reason behind this page, what I plan to accomplish with this challenge over the next 12 months and a bit of my process.

Simple Watercolor painting using Shawn Petite Stencils

Today, I'm sharing my first project as part of the Shawn Petite Creative TeamToday I kept it pretty simple because all I've wanted to do was watercolor this deer and paint some flowers. I really love how this piece turned out - so much so, that I actually framed it and it's now sitting on my mantle! I know it probably isn't what you are used to seeing done with Shawn Petite's amazing stencils but I hope you get some inspiration from it.

Head over to my YouTube Channel or Shawn Petite's Blog to see the video.

Unboxing The Greeting Farm's NEW Mystery Stamp Box!

Hi Friends! I am super excited about this video. I LOVE surprises so when I heard The Greeting Farm was doing a Mystery Box filled with their stamps, I couldn't wait to get mine! It has arrived and I go over all the details in the video but here are a few things I want to point out:

1. **SPOILER ALERT** All Mystery boxes contain the same items SO if you did get one and haven't received it yet; don't watch this video if you don't want to ruin the surprise! LOL It is an unboxing and I'm revealing what is inside!

2. It is NOT a subscription box. It was a one time preorder item in May and they are now shipping in June. All the stamps inside are exclusive, brand new and not available anywhere else at this time.

3. You are not able to purchase this particular mystery box any longer. If you LOVE what you see (and I'm pretty sure you will!) be sure to head over to The Greeting Farm and scroll to the bottom to sign up for their newsletter. This is the BEST way to get notified when the next mystery box is up for preorder to be able to get it. You can also follow The Greeting Farm on Instagram and Facebook but some people did not see those posts this time and missed out. Newsletter is best!

So if you are ready to see what's inside - just watch below or head over to my YouTube Channel

Thanks so much for watching - I hope you enjoyed the video. I know it's not normal for me to do unboxing but they are fun every once in awhile and I'm a total goof ball in this one because of  my uninhibited  and true response to what is inside! I think this box is amazing - it has a variety of stamps from critters to the classic Anya, some great sentiments and even a brand new stamp from a line we haven't seen in a while! Let me know in the comments below if you would like me to color with Copics or Watercolors for my next card making video featuring one of the stamps from this box!

Totally-Tiffany Stash and Store Storage System Review

Hi everyone! I recently joined the Totally-Tiffany Blogging Troop and I finally have my first review ready after weeks of stalling. Organizing is NOT my strong suit which is why I am super excited to be part of this team. My craft room is a hodge podge of different things I currently use for storage and it took me quite awhile to figure out what exactly would work for the things I didn't have the best system for. I finally narrowed it down to the Stash & Store Craft Supply Organizers. I picked 2 of the 7 Drawer Craft Supply Organizers and 1 of the 5 Drawer Craft Supply Organizer. I absolutely LOVE the 7 Drawer for storing all my alcohol inks, smaller watercolor inks as well as sprays and Copic Reinkers. The 5 Drawer system didn't work for me but my daughter took it for her fairy doll supplies and it works beautifully for her! These fit perfectly in many of the cube style shelving units.

I didn't mention it in the video but these boxes come pre assembled which is awesome. I thought I was going to have to do some assembly but nope! They also have cardboard dividers which you see in the video separating different products and keeping them in place while in store. You can find the direct dimensions using the links I provided above. They are made from a very heavy, sturdy cardboard (for lack of a better description...), it isn't made from plastic or wood making them very lightweight but sturdy.

To see more how I use them in my craft room, check out the video!

Do you currently use Totally-Tiffany for any of your storage needs?

Mixed Media Monday: Watercoloring in the Dina Wakley Media Small Journal

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a beautiful weekend spending time with your kiddos or mothers or just feeling loved. My weekend was made up of all the things I love: art, reading, playing Cranium with the kids, laughing and just relaxing. I got a special foot massage from my oldest I didn't even have to cook once yesterday! Creating this page was one of the things I was able to do. If you head over to my Instagram page, you'll even get to see what my oldest created for me!

My page was inspired by April's Our Mixed Media Moods Challenge. Every month, DeeDee Catron and Jen Engle release a new photo mood board inspiration. I was definitely drawn to the picture in the lower left and it gave me the perfect excuse to try my favorite watercolors in the new Dina Wakley Media small journal. The pages in there are 100% cotton watercolor - crazy thick and textured - and I love the way it looked and reacted with them.

I also wanted to include more of the tile print texture from the bottom right as well as that gorgeous coral color from the upper right. The quote I found in the DWM collage quotes is also inspired by that photo. I love the way the collage paper blends into the background with the gel medium.

I started this entire page with the watercolor florals. In the video below you can see me paint in real time one complete rose. Loose, undefined watercolor is my favorite. I will try other styles but nothing makes me happier than this. I hope you enjoy this week's mixed media video! Until next time!

Mixed Media Monday: Distress Oxide Sprays + A Video Voice Over Take Over with my Daughter!

Hi Everyone! I recently picked up 3 colors of Distress Oxide sprays and finally used them to create this tag in my art journal. I was inspired by the Simon Says Stamp Monday Tag It challenge from last week (so obviously, didn't get this entered) but love the page and how it turned out. I used the new Large white tags from Dina Wakley Media Incredibly, all of the colors created on this tag were made by using only 3 Distress Oxide inks (Mermaid Lagoon, Picked Raspberry and Fossilized Amber) When I was thinking about trying this new medium (even though I wanted ALL the colors) I decided to pick 3 primary-ish colors knowing they would mix and  blend to give beautiful multiple color blends. Choosing these colors or 2-3 of your favorite colors is a great way to try new things to decide if you're going to use them or not.

I'm obsessed with this purple the Mermaid Lagoon and Picked Raspberry created! I also did some tone on tone stamping with the same colors of Distress Oxide Inks to create a little texture in the background.

To create the wings I stamped a dragonfly stamp from Red Lead Paperworks on some old book paper and cut them out. Then I collaged them on my tag and in the end added purple shimmery stickles to them - which I LOVE. I also cut out some random words to place over the lips of my DWM collage girl. This pretty much sums up my current mood lately as I've been feeling super down and out with my artistic abilities and whatnot as I feel forgotten or cast off; unkown even! Which is silly but sometimes it feels as though I'm being passed on by but I'm also reminded that I do art for me and sharing it is something I love whether I inspired 1 single person or 100!

So, to counter the feeling of oblivion, I loved this sentiment that comes in the dragonfly stamp set. While I may have this feeling, I am going to continue to open my wings to the world....with my art, with myself, with trying new things and even living an entirely new lifestyle as we gear up to sell our little fixer upper this summer!

That said, one thing I'm doing to start this opening of my wings is finally hit the trigger on my Patreon Page! I'm calling this little announcement my soft launch. Yes, if you enjoy my art, my YouTube Videos and would love to support me in this way so I can continue to provide free content while also providing more real time tutorials and possibly workshops with kits, I would love to have your support! I'm still adjusting the tiers a bit but nothing will be taken away from what is offered currently. Just rethinking (over thinker here) what to best rewards your patronage with!

Also, here is the process video I made for this page. My daughter took over my voice over for this one and it's pretty cute to hear her describe what I do! LOL I hope you'll enjoy it as well!

I use affiliate links when possible for all the supplies used in my projects. Using the links when you see something you like helps me with a teeny tiny kickback without changing the price for you at all. It's an easy way for you to support my art and my channel. Thank you so much!
