Hi friends! I'm so excited to be back with my first Ranger Ink Guest Artist post for the year! I pulled out some of my all time favorite Dina Wakley products and fell in love with a new paint color while creating this page. I love when that happens. It's one of her original colors I believe as well. Nothing like falling in love with something old and making it new again. I did some gel printing for this page using her brand new WHITE journal tags. I think I've been waiting for these to fall in love with tag making, too! haha

To see the full project including the step by step tutorial,  please visit the Ranger Ink Blog! I also have a full process tutorial available on my Youtube channel or you can watch below!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I would love it if you would click on the button below to subscribe to my blog to let me know you enjoy what you see and would like to see more!

Scrapbook.com Tim Holtz Travel Stamp Platform First Impressions Video and Card

**As an affiliate with Scrapbook.com, I sometimes receive product in exchange for my posts. This post may also contain affiliate links when possible at no cost to you. Clicking on these links allows me continue to bring you great content and I thank you for your support!**

Hi everyone! I'm here today sharing a fun card I created using some supplies sent to me from Scrapbook.com! I recently became an affiliate with them (YAY!) and the asked if I would like to try out the Tim Holtz Travel Stamp Platform. I love stamp platforms and was curious about this one so I said absolutely. I love the small size - really perfect for taking along to crops or if you're like me, just not taking up so much space on your Ahem, messy desk! ;) The two cool features I find unique is there are no edges on the side or top allowing you to use full size card bases in the stamp positioner to add images and sentiments easily for one layer cards without working about the card getting bend in the door. The other feature I love is it is super easy to lift the door from the hinge to switch sides depending if you are using rubber stamps or clear stamps - both fit perfect in this stamp positioner! All in all, this has been a great additional tool in my craft room and I look forward to using it with more projects!

I decided to create a card with the Travel Stamp Platform and did a little Oxide Ink Blending on my card base as well as watercoloring this absolutely FUN stamp set by Art Impressions. I just love these ladies and this image went perfect with all the sentiments in the Scrapbook.com stamp set called Best Friends Forever.

I hope you enjoy the video either here or over on my YouTube Channel today! Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Until next time, Stay Inspired, be Creative and Share that with others!

Sketching and Watercoloring a Peacock

Last month, I tried to follow the Doodlewash watercolor challenge prompts..actually it was in JANUARY! oh my, I just realized, hello, it's March...anyway, I digress...ok, so I try to follow their prompts and failed miserably - made it about 5 days. LOL This peacock was one of those days...I filmed it and really wasn't proud of it but I thought it would be ok to share because I'm not perfect, I'm still learning this beautiful medium I love so much and I did learn something valuable lessons during this session that I want to share:

1. This 4x4 field journal has watercolor paper in it but not both sides of the paper accept water and pigment the same. So in a two page spread like this, you can really see the difference between the left and right hand sides.

2. Using a water soluble graphite pencil you lose the lines fairly quickly - which I did want when I went into it but I didn't realize how much I'd lose right away making the painting even more difficult.

3. Sometimes it's ok to do wet on dry. I love wet on wet and I tried to do this entire painting wet on wet which turned to mud in a lot of places. I've since learned to love the process of glazing.

Let me know what you think about this type of video. I'd love to share more videos this year and not having to do a full voice over would help me be able to get more of these types of videos out to you but I'd love to hear from you.

I have started including affiliate links for all the supplies used in my videos here. Using the links when you see something you like helps me with a teeny tiny kickback without changing the price for you at all. It's an easy way for you to support my art and my channel. Thank you so much!

Copic Coloring with Stamping Bella Stamps!

Hi friends! I haven't been the best blogger lately but I'm going to do my best to at least post a little something something each week when I upload a video. To really see what I'm working on be sure to following me on Instagram...that's where I really keep up with you and sometimes I post polls for you to pick what I color or work on next - plus, I get a lot of feedback there on what people want to see...like more Gel Press videos but more on that later this week. ;)

So, if you aren't following Kathy at The Daily Marker (and seriously, who isn't?!) you know that she is currently hosting another 30 Day Coloring challenge this month and for some reason since it's a short month, I thought, yeah, I can do that! haha That's where these two cards come in.

I recently saw this awesome new line of Curvy Girls at Stamping Bella and had to have this one. HAD to. I couldn't resist. I mean, those florals, that hair, that dress!!! I just wish curvy looked that good on me. LOL This stamp is called Curvy Girl with a Heart Wreath and I have a coloring video for you on my YouTube channel or you can watch below:

When I posted my poll on instagram about which stamp to color next, I showed both the new Stamping Bella stamps I had so of course, I couldn't stop at coloring just one. I hopped on my my YouTube channel last night to do a live coloring along which was a ton of fun. Be sure to subscribe and get notifications if you want to follow along next time. I definitely want to do it again!

I have adored the Rosie and Bernie collection since they were released last year and FINALLY added on to my collection! I could NOT resist this sweet hug and if you know me, I just LOVE unicorns. I have a bit of an addiction really. They were just as fun to color as I imagined. I created just a simple card and this is the perfect Thinking of You card now.

That's it for me today. I hope you are having a fabulous weekend! Mine has been perfectly filled with coloring, crafting, chocolate and my family.

I didn't get the chance to take a peak at the video, but the cards look gorgeous! I don't watch a lot of YouTube videos, so really, I mostly watch crafty videos and any kind of crafty videos, but techniques are probably my favourite. I would love to win prize #1 in your giveaway, although they all look fabulous!
Happy New Year! I am new to Seasons Greetings, your blog and YouTube channel. Love the YouTube channel. Please consider me for #2 watercolor giveaway. With the help of your videos, I am inspired to try more watercoloring in 2019.

Those are three wonderful giveaways. I have to admit one of my desires this year is to do more in a mixed media. I do love to watch all kinds of crafting videos - especially technique and mixed media videos - I would love any of those packages, but yes, my heart yearns for number 3 the most!

Seasons Giving 2019 Blog Hop! **GIVEAWAY CLOSED**

Hi everyone! I am super excited to be joining this amazing blog hop this year. I've secretly always wanted to be part of it! I know I haven't been the best of bloggers but my focus in 2018 was on my YouTube channel...that is until the baby grew out of her awesome sleeping patterns about halfway through but I still managed to make and upload over 60 tutorials! I compiled the top 10 (based on views) into an easy playlist in case you haven't seen them. I would also love it if you became a subscriber - I am planning to continue making and uploading tutorials at least once a week... though 3 times allowed me to touch on one of each of my crafty loves at least once a week, I know my limitations at this point though I try. ;)

Speaking of 3 loves. I have THREE giveaways today! This blog hop was born out of wanting to give back to our community and I am so excited to be able to do that this year. Every single one of you that watch my videos, leave comments or follow me on instagram mean the world to me. That's why, I have chosen to havethree giveaways, each one themed around my three crafty loves starting with this one which is all about card making, stamping and all that. I've included some of my favorite stamps and dies that I just haven't been able to use much and I'm hoping that they will go to a new home to be well loved and used! Some of these stamps have been used once and some are brand new!

Giveaway #1:

Next, we come to watercolors. Man, oh man, I love watercolors! I have an entire playlist dedicated to watercolors if you want to see more. I just knew I had to include a giveaway devoted to this medium I love so much. You will get the 4 coloring books shown that are printed on watercolor paper and perfectly sized for card fronts along with some of my favorite watercolors. The set on top includes Daniel Smith Watercolors and the bottom two are from one of my favorite handmade watercolor Etsy shops called Rachel...

Giveaway #2:

And finally, last but not least, Mixed Media. I love how mixed media allows me to experiment with new mediums, work through my feelings and keep it all in an art journal or if I'm extra brave, on a canvas! I wish I could give you a journal but here are some amazing mixed media ephemera, stamps, stencils, etc. that will get you on your way or be great additions to your stash!

Giveaway #3:

My NEW Daniel Smith Watercolors Palette Set Up and Swatch Chart!

HI everyone! Happy New Year!!! I can't believe another year has come and gone. I actually just saw someone post on Facebook that 1999 is now officially 20 years ago. LMAO That made me giggle...and feel slightly gutted. haha

I'm so excited about this first video of 2019 though. I FINALLY, yes, finally made a swatch chart of my Daniel Smith Watercolors. Not just that, but I completely rearranged and even added some new ones to use this year. If you want a complete list of the colors in my palette you can see them below. I even have links where you can purchase individual colors if you want. I took the time to put this full list together making sure the prices were reasonable (and some I could not find so I substituted something similar in the links) but I also just listed the colors so you can visit your favorite art store (either in person or online) to purchase on your own!

I am publishing this blog 30 minutes before the video actually goes live so you will join me in the premier of it where we will view it together and chat, you can ask me questions about watercolors and suggest what you'd like to see in my videos this year. Hope to see you there!

I hope to figure out a consistent schedule for this year but for now I know I want to upload at least once a week whether it's watercolor, mixed media or card making. Let me know if that is something you would look forward to as well.
