Hi Guys, welcome back to another Watercolor Wednesday post here on my blog as well as my YouTube channel. Today is the last of my Good Mail Monday envelopes I've been sharing. It has been so much fun creating these bits of art to send through the mail. I'm gonna miss it and hope to do it again sometime.
I couldn't resist picking up this adorable Happy Mail stamp from Tiddly Inks when she had a sale for Valentine's Day. I mean, there was no resisting it and she definitely had to make her way onto an envelope pronto! This stamp would also make some adorable cards though, don't you think? I had a heck of a time with my watercoloring this week as you'll see in the video. This is actually my second attempt creating the envelope. It might have to do with the fact that I haven't used my Peerless Watercolors in ages but in the end I love how it turned out!
As with all my Good Mail Monday envelopes, I want to include a little handmade letting in the mail. This week's theme was Brunch and I didn't have any good stamps that fit that for the outside of my envelope so I found this quote that made me giggle and knew it would be the one to include! I hand lettered with a Pentel small water brush and my Brea Reese Glitter watercolors. I am so bummed, I went back to Hobby Lobby to get the regular Brea Reese watercolors because I was loving these glitter ones so much and they were all gone already! Ahhhh, that clearance sale was awesome but you really had to be there quick to get the good stuff!
You can check out the process video below or on my YouTube channel. Be sure to subscribe so you don't miss a video. Each Wednesday I publish a new Watercolor with Me video and I'd love to hear what you want to see me create in March. I want to really push myself and grow with this medium this year so I'm up for anything!
