Mixed Media Monday: Ranger Ink Gel Printing Plate First Look Tag Making (Part 1)

**As a Guest Artist for Ranger Ink, I sometimes receive product in exchange for my posts. This post may also contain affiliate links when possible at no cost to you. Clicking on these links helps me continue to bring you great content and I thank you for your support!**

Hi everyone! Ranger Ink kindly sent me their new Gel Printing Plate so I thought it would be perfect for today's Mixed Media Monday to play and create some tags using it! Over on my YouTube channel you can find an unboxing but I don't like JUST an unboxing so I go right into playing with the new gel plate.

Once I got started, I just didn't want to stop so the video is on the longer side but I think it's worth it. I will also be back next week with a Part 2 sharing how I took one of the tags to a completed project. I think the new gel plate will be awesome in assisting me with any creative block because it's really a no thinking kind of creating. Just adding paints, stencils, textures, etc until you're ready to stop. I even show you how to correct a background that might have gotten too busy.

Here are just a few more close ups of the tags and all that gorgeous texture. I am honestly, as I type this, planning for my next creative sessions with the Gel Plate!

I hope you'll enjoy this video!

Stamp Stash Saturday: Tiddly Inks, Copics & Kindness really does matter!

Hi Crafty Friends! Today brings you another installment of Stamp Stash Saturday where I normally go into my stack of never used stamps to put one on a card. However, today is a bit different. I was gifted a couple Tiddly Inks digital stamps recently and I wanted to use those instead. I don't know who sent them as it was secret but I can tell you that the day I received the email with the images was one of those rough, exhausting days as a {new again} mom and it just turned my whole day around. It was the simplest, sweetest gesture and the only way I know how to thank the person was to NOT let them be tucked away into my digital stamp stash. :) It just goes to show, kindness, no matter how big or small, make a huge impact on the person. So, when you feel like you want to do something for someone, don't hesitate. You never know, you could just turn someone's entire day around for the better!

This cutie is called Wryn's Texting. I just absolutely adore her emoji outfit! My girls wanted me to color her hair pink so of course that's what I had to do. They know I love coloring funky hair colors anyway!

Since I was coloring a digital image and I don't like to put watercolor paper in my printer, I am pulling out the Copics for this one! I hope you'll enjoy it all come together in the video.

Mixed Media Monday: Dina Wakley Tribe February Challenge

Hi everyone! Today is another Mixed Media Monday and my page is inspired by the Dina Wakley Media Tribe Facebook Group February challenge. Our challenge this month is to use our favorite stamp. It didn't have to be a DWM stamp but why wouldn't be?! LOL They are definitely some of my all time favorites for mixed media in my art journal. Whether it's some of her fabulous background or texture stamps or some of her gorgeous faces, I really love them all. As I flipped through them, I came across the Positive Women stamp set which is probably one of my first ever DWM purchases and I really love this girl stamp in particular because of her focus on something in the distance. I learned a lot during the creating of this page. You can see the entire page come together in the process video at the end of this post or at my YouTube channel.

Here are some close ups of the finished page. I really love how it turned out!

Stamp Stash Saturday: Watercoloring Stamping Bella Honeybear Stuffies

Hi everyone! Today is Stamp Stash Saturday. I love this new video series on my  YouTube channel. I was getting overwhelmed with the amount of stamps I have and noticed that with each new release that would grace my doorstep there were several older stamp sets sitting there just collecting dust. So, as I thought about what I want to do this year, I wanted to specifically grab for those unsued, older stamps. Normally, if I haven't used them, I will destash but I started realizing, I really like these stamps. I got them for a reason, right? So, Stamp Stash Saturday was born! Doing the videos is just another way to keep myself accountable while I do this each week.

Supplies:
My Favorite Things Extreme Black Ink
Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock
Daniel Smith PrimaTek Watercolors

Watercolor Wednesday: Floral Mail Art

Hi everyone! I have started a new series on my YouTube channel called Watercolor Wednesday. I know, I know, not very original but I love watercolors and it's just an easy way to get me to pull them out every week. This week, I'm doing a little watercoloring on an envelope for some easy mail art.

I have also started practicing my lettering more consistently and am sharing that in this video as well since I got these new Brea Reese Glitter Inks. Hope you enjoy it!
