Now on to our JULY Farm Fresh Challenge. This month our challenge is a fun one:

SHAKER CARDS!

Look, if I could put together this shaker card, there is no excuse for ANY one of you to join our challenge this month! ;) I was inspired by front loading washers to create my shaker card using the Baby Laundry clear stamp set. I know the set comes with a clothes line but how cute are these little clothes tumbling around their little washers?! haha It was my daughter's idea to add the clear and blue sequins for bubbles. Love it!

Now be sure to head over to The Greeting Farm Blog to read the rules and link up your card.

Hugs!

The Greeting Farm Faith JULY Release!

**As a Design Team Member for The Greeting Farm, I receive product in exchange for my posts. This post also contains affiliate links when possible at no cost to you. Clicking on these links helps me continue to bring you great content and I thank you for your support!**

Hi everyone! Today The Greeting Farm is releasing two more stamps to their Faith Collection! Today the design team and I are sharing our creations using Ask Seek Knock and Light of the World clear stamp sets.

For my bible page I went to Luke 11:9-10 where Jesus says And I tell you, "ask and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened." This stamp is a favorite because I love all the brush stroke and ink splatter stamp images with the bold words. It as a lot of fun to work with. I used Ranger Distress Ink to color blend the background on my page and then using the same ink color, I stamped the different brush stroke and ink splatters around my page creating some tone on tone stamping. Then I stamped my words and outlined them with a white gel pen. After that I stamped the cross in a light grey ink. Then I just added my verses with the date, some washi tape and stickers around my page. I really love how this page turned out.

I don't know about your house but here we are forever needing book marks. Between my readers and our read alouds, there never seems to be enough and often we use scraps of papers. LOL I decided to have some fun with Distress Oxides Reinkers using my favorite technique of ink smooshing to create the fun watercolor background on these. Honestly, my favorite combination turned out to be Cracked Pistachio, Faded Jeans and Fossilized Amber. Something about the way those colors blended make me happy! Once I dried the backgrounds, I die cute them using some book mark dies from my stash. Then I added my stamping from the Light of the World set. Super simple and easy bookmarks that I can use to mark my devotional spot or in any books we're currently reading although while I was making these, my girls made a bunch of their own. haha I'll share those this Friday!

Kids Fun Friday: Lego Stop Motion Video

**This post contains affiliate links when possible at no cost to you. Clicking on these links helps me continue to bring you great content and I thank you for your support!**

Hi everyone! I have a different and fun post I'd love to share with you today - one that I  hope will become a regular feature. My kids love to get crafty - probably more than I do lately and I want to take time each month to share what they've been working on - hence Kids Fun Fridays!

A few months ago I went to the Snap Conference in Utah. Such a great conference, by the way, if you have a chance to attend one, I highly encourage it! One of the amazing companies that was there was LEGO! I was so excited because my family is slightly obsessed with them (maybe this sounds familiar?!) From my 39 year old husband down to my 4 year old son, LEGO is a familiar sound in this house. Yes, stepping on them is the norm but honestly it is probably one of the best toys for our kids. Not only does it help build fine motor and hand / eye coordination skills but it encourages the imagination. That is the best part. Our oldest two kids are girls and while LEGO Friends didn't come out until 5 years ago, they already had a lasting love of LEGO. However, they do love the more girl sets and were so excited when LEGO graciously sent us two to play with.

My girls, 11 and 10 (left to right in the photo), each got a new set for this post. (Thank you so much, LEGO!) My oldest, Tolla, chose LEGO Friends Emma's Photo Studio  and Teagan chose LEGO Friends Olivia's Creative Lab to build. It is fun to watch my kids build because there is no wrong way. My oldest loves to follow directions and she gets out her new set with the building instructions and goes step by step using the easy to follow picture guide. My youngest, well, she's always marching to her own tune and she never even opens it up but just sets up the box so she can see the picture of how the set looks and starts building. Either way, they both have fun and were thrilled with their new sets. Can you tell?

We homeschool so part of me is always thinking, ok, how can we use this as part of what we're currently learning? We enjoy the Bravewriter Philosophy and since we're working on free writing, I asked my kiddos to write a story using their set that they can turn into a LEGO stop motion video since they love making those on their Ninentendo DS. I was so happy to get such an enthusiastic response. My youngest got started with shooting the stop motion while my oldest wrote the story. This allowed them both to work with their strong points as they communicated with each other during the process. I hope you enjoy their LEGO stop motion movie debut!

The Greeting Farm JUNE Release Blog Hop!

It’s the 15th, and that means the new JUNE Stamps are now available for purchase in The Greeting Farm Store. Today, we released CALL ME IAN, MEGA-MINI GO TIME, and TEXT ME ANYA. To celebrate we are having a BLOG HOP, where one lucky fan will take home all 3 sets!!

Once I played with this card and saw all the fun images, I had an idea to recreate this card in honor of one of my favorite movies Thelma & Louise! haha Seriously, one look at that convertible and this card had to come to life. I decided to keep the watercolor theme going with one more final hop card for this release and used my Jane Davenport Watercolors exclusively.

Jane Davenport watercolors are great for coloring stamped images. With both the neutral and bright palettes you have pretty much all the colors necessary in two cute portable palettes. I love the way this card turned out!

My oldest daughter also wanted to play with new The Greeting Farm stamps. She made this adorable mini card doing a little masking of her own. I think it's adorable!

She also made this card using Text Me Anya. She had some fun die cutting some pretty pattern papers and coloring this cutie to kinda look like me. She also gave me this card with the sweetest message inside. I was having a rough day and she just wanted me to know that everything would be ok. I love that girl!

Be sure to leave a comment on each designer’s blog, and then head back to The Greeting Farm Blog to let us know you completed the hop. You have until Wednesday, JUNE 21st at 12pm CST to leave your comments. We will announce the random winner later in the week.

The Greeting Farm JUNE Release - Text Me Anya!

Hi everyone! Welcome to our final day of previews before these awesome new stamps are released! We saved the best for last...at least this gal is my favorite. As soon as I opened up my package with this months stamps, I saw her hair and couldn't wait to get her on a card. I had so much fun coloring this months release with watercolors. I'll be honest, it's because my desk is a D-I-S-A-S-T-E-R. I barely have room to color and honestly colored 2 out of 3 of these releases outside where I could clear my head. haha

Here is a close up. For this one I stuck exclusively to my Jane Davenport watercolors both the brights and neutrals. I'm really having fun dropping different colors into the image just to tie it all together.

Don't forget, we'll have a New Release Blog Hop on the 15th when 1 lucky winner will win all 3 new sets! Until then, be sure to to check out everyone's creations on The Greeting Farm Blog today using this stamp.

The Greeting Farm JUNE Release - Mega-Mini Go Time!

Hi everyone! Welcome back to Day 2 of The Greeting Farm June Release previews! Today we are showcasing a new adorable little mini set called Mega-Mini Go Time. Definitely be sure to check out the rest of the Design Team creations so you can get sneaks into more of the cute little stamps in this set. I am on a watercoloring kick this week and stamped my images on Fabriano Cold Press Watercolor Paper (140lb) with Versafine Onyx Black ink. Then pulling out my Daniel Smith and Jane Davenport Watercolors, I colored up my scene. I'm currently taking a watercoloring class online taught by Danielle Donaldson and I love the way she drops different colors she's using into all the parts of her paintings. I tried that today and love how it really ties it all together!

Don't forget, we'll have a New Release Blog Hop on the 15th when 1 lucky winner will win all 3 new sets! Until then, be sure to to check out everyone's creations on The Greeting Farm Blog today using this stamp.

The Greeting Farm JUNE Release - Call Me Ian!

Hi everyone! It's June...I can't believe it. The year is half over - we are on our 6th month of previews with The Greeting Farm and this month is seriously cute! I know I say that every month but it's true every single month! Today we're previewing Call Me Ian. I just adore this little guy and his cute hat and vest. He kinda reminds me of my hubby when we were dating in high school. This was his style when we first started dating! I am on a clean and simple card kick especially when it comes to watercolors. I recently repaletted my Daniel Smith Watercolors so I couldn't wait to use my new palette and used Daniel Smith on this card with the exception one the skin which I always tend to use Jane Davenport Netural palette for that. Easy Peasy does it for this expecting mama lately! Be sure to stop by tomorrow for day 2 of our June previews this month.

Don't forget, we'll have a New Release Blog Hop on the 15th when 1 lucky winner will win all 3 new sets! Until then, be sure to to check out everyone's creations on The Greeting Farm Blog today using this stamp.

These critters are seriously my spirit animal...in all their glorious fluffiness like me! haha I just got the Pearl Colors Gansai Tambi set and couldn't wait to use them so no time like the present. I used all 6 beautiful rainbow colors and they blend beautifully together. For more on my card, please visit The Greeting Farm Blog.
