Hi Everyone! We are on our final day of previews for the August Release at The Greeting Farm. This is another set of vehicles perfect for all those boy cards we want to make but don't always have the perfect stamp for it. I could NOT resist the little love bug in this set and had to color it like Herbie with my Copic Markers...does anyone else remember that movie? I'm talking the original. I LOVED that movie as a kid! And I LOVE how this card turned out!

Don't forget, we'll have a New Release Blog Hop on the 15th when 1 lucky winner will win all 3 new sets! Until then, be sure to to check out everyone's creations on The Greeting Farm Blog today using this stamp.

Welcome back to day 2 of our August release previews for The Greeting Farm! This is my favorite set this month...there is always one or two that I absolutely go ga-ga over and this is it. The characters at TGF are my favs, hands down. My stamping and coloring obsession began with Anya and just grew with all the new collections that have come since, like this cutie! They are the most fun to color and bring to life.

Don't forget, we'll have a New Release Blog Hop on the 15th when 1 lucky winner will win all 3 new sets! Until then, be sure to to check out everyone's creations on The Greeting Farm Blog today using this stamp.

http://thegreetingfarm.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/farmfreshchallenge.png

Just a reminder: Since this is a month-long challenge, The Greeting Farm will allow 2 entries per person to keep things as fair as possible.

Hi Farmers!! Today starts a new Farm Fresh Challenge over at The Greeting Farm! Our Farm Fresh Challenges start on the first of every month and run for an entire month to give you more time to enter. To top it all off, the prize amount is $50!!! Can you believe it?!! At the end of the month you could possibly win a $50 Gift Certificate to The Greeting Farm Store!!

Were you the winner from last month's challenge? Be sure to head over to The Greeting Farm Blog to see our winner and more inspiration from my fellow team members.

Now on to our AUGUST Farm Fresh Challenge. This month our challenge is an fun one:

CREATE A SCENE!

Ok, ya'll, I had a little bit of a nervous breakdown with this challenge. So if *I* can do it, I'm counting on ALL of you to join in this month!!! I actually had another idea in mind for a scene but couldn't find the stamp set I wanted to use for it. PLEASE tell me I'm not alone in losing stamp sets out of the blue like that. Anyway, so if I find it before the month ends, I PROMISE to make that a reality for ya! So in my panic to come up with something I was chatting with Rosemary and she said something about creating a scene in a polaroid like picture so I didn't have to think of or color an entire scene card. BRILLIANT, right?! So, make your scenes small - think of looking into a window or looking out a window for your scene. Don't think you have to do a whole card but you totally can if you want - those are amazing and I LOVE them. So, once I thought about the polaroid, I thought, I HAS to be a selfie. I mean, who doesn't love a good selfie scene?! I started by stamping my Anya, then masked her and stamped the scene behind her masking some of the buildings and adding the trees. Then all I had to do was color! So cute. I even filmed the process for you - except creating my card which I just did with die cutting some colorful pattern paper and adding my little scene with some foam dots and a clip.

**Ps. I will have a video up in the morning on my YouTube channel showing you how I created this cute little scene!**

Now be sure to head over to The Greeting Farm Blog to read the rules and link up your card.

Dina Wakley Media Show Us Your Media Challenge - What is your why?

Hi Everyone! Dina Wakley started a new challenge last month and I used the prompt to create this page yesterday. The prompt for the first challenge was to journal about your Why...why do you create, why do you make art, art journal, etc. My reasons are simple: to relax, get out of my head (although being IN my head all too often means I don't even sit down to create art but when I do...), release stress, have fun and it makes me happy. When I sit down and start adding paint, color, texture, stamps, etc to an art journal page or canvas...I am truly in my happy place.

I actually filmed my process as well because that is part of what makes me happy - sharing what I do and my process with you. I haven't been doing that for awhile - for a variety of reasons (see above about being in my head too much, LOL) and I want to just give it a try again. You can view the video below or on my YouTube channel.

There is a new challenge that began today, you'll definitely want to check it out HERE.

Hi everyone! I’m so excited to be sharing my third post with you this month as a Guest Designer for SugarPea Designs. Almost as cute as the stamp designs themselves are the names of the stamps like this set Tropic Like It's Hot from the June Release. I had this design in my mind as soon as I opened the stamp package and had fun creating an ink blended background for it with Distress Oxide Inks.

The Greeting Farm JULY Release Blog Hop!

It’s the 15th, and that means the new JULY Stamps are available for purchase in The Greeting Farm Store. Today, we released OUR SONG, HANG OUT IAN, UP, and YOU'RE SPECTACULAR! To celebrate we are having a BLOG HOP, where one lucky fan will take home all 4 sets!!

For my card, I just had to use the new Up set! Someday I want to ride in a hot air balloon but for now, I'll just make cards using this awesome set. I had this watercolor background that looked kinda early morning, moody to me - the kind of skies I'll see around here when I see them launching down in town. I stamped some of the clouds and thought with that background I wanted to color up the balloon bright and colorful with my Copic Markers.  Then I added lots of sparkle with the Spectrum Noir glitter pens with a coat of glossy accents which seemed ready to hop on all my cards this week in some way or another!

Be sure to leave a comment on each designer’s blog, and then head back to The Greeting Farm Blog to let us know you completed the hop. You have until Wednesday, JULY 19th at 12pm CST to leave your comments. We will announce the random winner later in the week.

The Greeting Farm JULY Release - You're Spectacular!

**As a Design Team Member for The Greeting Farm, I receive product in exchange for my posts. This post may also contain affiliate links when possible at no cost to you. Clicking on these links helps me continue to bring you great content and I thank you for your support!**

Hi Everyone! Today is our final day of Previews for The Greeting Farm July release. Today we're spotlighting the new set called You're Spectacular. You guys are going to love this set, I know I do! First of all, you get this adorable Anya plus 2 sentiments but then you also get all these cute style glasses to accessorize your stamps! How fun is that! Again, I colored my stamp with Copic Markers and gave her some FUN colored hair inspired by hair I found on Pinterest that I want to do someday!

You can see the different glasses styles you get in the set on my background. I started with an ink blended background using Distress Oxide inks and then sprayed my stamps with water to create the background. That is such a FUN technique. I'm obsessed!

Don't forget, we'll have a New Release Blog Hop on the 15th when 1 lucky winner will win all 3 new sets! Until then, be sure to to check out everyone's creations on The Greeting Farm Blog today using this stamp.

The Greeting Farm JULY Release - Up!

**As a Design Team Member for The Greeting Farm, I receive product in exchange for my posts. This post may also contain affiliate links when possible at no cost to you. Clicking on these links helps me continue to bring you great content and I thank you for your support!**

Hi everyone! The Greeting Farm July release previews continue today with this adorable new set called Up! I absolutely love hot air balloons. I used to live near an area that launched balloons early in the morning and I loved seeing them - actually the first summer we lived there one actually landed on our street!!! oh man, I wish I had that picture on hand to show you. LOL We actually ran out and took a picture next to it. So funny.

Side Note: This book The Penderwicks is actually our current read aloud and ALL my kids are enjoying it (ages 7-12!) It is such a cute book and has something for boys and girls. The paperback is only $5.50 on Amazon right now!

I love all the sentiments in this set and thought this one was perfect for a bookmark. These corner bookmarks are super fast and easy to make. I wish you could see it better but after I finished coloring my images with Copic Markers, I added clear wink of stella (of course) and then a layer of glossy accents. I just love the look of glossy accents over wink of stella!

Don't forget, we'll have a New Release Blog Hop on the 15th when 1 lucky winner will win all 3 new sets! Until then, be sure to to check out everyone's creations on The Greeting Farm Blog today using this stamp.

Hi everyone! We have a new Ian set this month called Hang Out Ian and he's just as cute as ever! He's pretty awesome. Who wouldn't want to hang out with him and eat burgers or hot dogs! I had the perfect papers with this Doodlebug Designs collection as soon as I saw him I knew I had to pull them out so I colored him with Copic Markers to match. It's been fun coloring with the medium along with the stamps that started it all for me this month!

Don't forget, we'll have a New Release Blog Hop on the 15th when 1 lucky winner will win all 3 new sets! Until then, be sure to to check out everyone's creations on The Greeting Farm Blog today using this stamp.

I am SO excited about the release this month at The Greeting Farm! First up is a new set called Our Song! It's absolutely adorable and since I played flute in middle and high school, I immediately knew I wanted to color this cutie up. (The is also a girl playing guitar who is equally as adorable!) This month I'm dusting off my Copic Markers and hope you will enjoy the previews this week as much as I have!

Hi everyone! I’m so excited to be sharing my second post with you this month as a Guest Designer for SugarPea Designs. I loved getting Let's Flamingle from the June Release in my happy mail. I'll be honest in that while I thought it was super cute, it really wasn't something that I would have added to my cart while I was shopping. However, playing with it really stretched me creatively and now it's probably my favorite set from the release! I love how that happens and just goes to show you never know how a stamp set will make you grow!

Growing In Unity Blog Hop!

Hi everyone! Welcome to another Growing In Unity blog hop! Be sure to visit each blog and leave a comment for your chance to win one of 2 prize packages available. For my project, I pulled out the kit I chose for my week of Growing In Unity posts called Beautiful One. I fell in love with this kit as soon as I saw it with the Angie girl and all the florals.

I love an already made background - especially when I'm short on time which is all the time lately. Just me?! haha I created this page in my handmade art journal and I have all the backgrounds already created using a variety of Dina Wakely Heavy Body acrylic paints. I picked one and knew I wanted to stamp the girl from this kit using Archival Ink so I could color it in with Dina Wakley Scribble Sticks. Then using the same scribble sticks I stamped one of the floral stamps on my page for a bit of texture. I added my journaling, some doodles and that's it! I'm currently 19 weeks pregnant with our 5th and while I don't have a so called pregnancy book, I find that I will art journal about this baby here and there in many different journals. A little sporatic...just like me!
