Hello friends! Today I'm sharing a card I created using this fabulous exclusive Lawn Fawn stamp set created for Simon Says Stamptember. I am SO glad I snatched it up when I did because it SOLD OUT fast. I LOVE feathers lately and this set was too cute to pass up. As soon as I opened it up, I knew I wanted to use the Lawn Fawn Silver Sparkle trim to create a little dangle with the feathers hanging down. I love when something turns out as planned.
Again, I used my Wink of Stella pen to add shimmer to my project. These feathers were screaming for some sparkle! I first water colored them with distress inks then fussy cut them out. I might be the last person to actually enjoy fussy cutting when nearly every stamp has their own die out now but I think it takes just as long to fussy cut as it does to line up a die, get out my cuttlebug and roll it through! Plus, most of the dies create a white border around the card which I love but sometimes I love the cut close as well.
I also got a new watermark from the incredibly talented Lisa Arana of Dahlhouse Designs! If you are needing a super cute watermark for your cards - PLEASE hop over to her website and check them out! I love mine - it is so cute - and so affordable I picked up another one with a fairy - of course! ;)
I am also entering my card in the Lawnscaping Challenge this week to use Pattern Paper - my card base was from the Authentique Faith Collection Card Making paper pad! I love it! I would also like to enter for the second time in this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Use Watercolors - I used Distress Inks to watercolor the feathers.
Thanks so much for stopping by - I hope you enjoyed my card!
