Happy Monday! Wow, I've gotten a lot done this morning - feels SO good. Now I can play a little. Speaking of playing, how about coloring with OUT black lines? Yep, it's something I've been seeing that was jump started by the ever fabulous Zoe at Make it Crafty! She is so inspiring and when I saw this technique being shown over and over on the FB group I just HAD to give it a try! So, I took out Birthday Anya 2 and stamped her with a palette ink (from ippity) called haystack. Then I started coloring her skin, then her hair and finished with her clothing. Now, I will admit that when I did her hair, I started to freak out a bit! LOL And then even more when I colored her dress, that was really a challenge (I realize how dependent I am on those black lines now!) but in the end, I am absolutely in LOVE with how she turned out. I'm particularly proud of her hair!!! I think I was able to give her hair a lot of movement and texture without be constrained with the lines. This is a fun technique and I encourage you to try it! To fill in her facial features, I lightly when over it with a primsa colored pencil and then for her eyes I went over that with a copic multiliner once I was happy. It was fun to fill in her eyebrows to match her hair also using a primsa colored pencil.
She matched perfectly with this beautiful Bella Blvd. paper I had lying on my desk so I took a couple different patters and cut them with a magnolia doohickey die. Speaking of, I completely forgot about our Through The Craftroom Door challenge going on right now. Have you seen the new blog - it's awesome and makes it so much easier to upload your card in our challenges. It started on the 15th but you have until the end of the month to enter.
