Hi Everyone! I'm back today with a brand new member of the Creeper Crew! This is CC Lula & will be released in a SPECTACULAR SEPTEMBER release along with the new Miss Anya set and 2 other singles....all leading up to some awesome new stamps to add to your collection on the 1st!

I couldn't resist pairing her with this adorable Bella Blvd. paper called Too Cute To Spook! Seriously, it has all my favorite colors whether it's Halloween or not! I love all the teals and purples in the collection. I colored CC Lula with Copics and of course she wanted some funky hair - I was inspired to do her hair from THIS site on etsy. I also used the little skully from the Sweet & Toxic set as a fun embellishment after I covered it with glitter using Helmar Gemstone Glue.

I also want to give you a little reminder that the two new CLEAR stamp sets, "Bantastic" and "Fairy Princess" are available in the store now...or perhaps you want to add them to your September 'loot'?  :)

Be sure to head over to the TGF BLOG and find out how YOU can win her today...I hear she's playing hide-and-seek on one of our blogs today and you JUST might be the lucky winner!  Last but not least, be sure to read about the "FARM FASIONISTA" contest going on NOW on the TGF Blog...you have until tomorrow, Aug 31 at 6pm CST to enter!

Learn to pause....notepad holder

***Please scroll down for my TGF Miss Anya Snippet Post!!***

Hi Everyone! Happy Friday! I have to say, this week has been amazing. I'm busy in the background getting ready for  homeschooling, coloring when I get the chance, starting up a new business venture and developing new friendships. Seriously, it's been a blessed week!
I just LOVE this sketch at Cosmo Cricket and this note pad holder has been lying in pieces on my desk and it finally  hit me how I want to put it together. I scrapped the original pieces I had cut for it (believe it or not, it was another Cosmo Cricket collection) but when I saw the chipboard pieces I had from Circa 1934 I knew exactly what I wanted to do!

Here is a close up of the cover. I love how it turned out. I make lots of lists lately to keep myself on track with everything that is going on and I wanted something pretty to keep my lists in, so this was created with no one else in mind by me!! I used Helmar Acid Free glue to adhere the paper and the notepad inside. I love it b/c it made the cover that much sturdier. Then for the chipboard I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry b/c even tho it is already self adhesive, I know with the wear and tear I am going to put this thru, I didn't want anything coming off randomly in my purse. I stamped the sentiment which says "Learn to pause....or nothing worthwhile will catch up to you." I love that b/c even tho I'm busy checking off things on my list, I want to also take moments to pause and listen to the whisperings of my heart. :D

Here is a picture of one of my favorite Helmar products Liquid Scrap Dots!! I used it to adhere the ink bottle chipboard b/c it was layered on top of the other chipboard piece it needed some dimension but I didn't want to stack zap dots so this was an easy solution.

Thanks for stopping by!

Cosmo Cricket Sketch 2 different Ways!

When I saw THIS post on the Cosmo Cricket blog I immediately grabbed all the CC collections I had and fanned them out on mydesk - then I picked two that were inspiring me and made these two cards. You all know how much I love sketch challenges & to have a chance to be published in CARDS mag is a HUGE bonus so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Here is my first take on the sketch:

I absolutely adore this new Birthday Ian stamp available now at The Greeting Farm. That banner he's holding is perfect for ANYTHING! For the celebrate I used a sentiment from the new clear stamp set Bannerific also by The Greeting Farm. The paper is Cosmo Cricket The Boyfriend Collection. I just LOVE this collection - what am I saying I love ALL Cosmo Cricket Collections!!! ;) I'm also coming back to participate in a favorite challenge blog of mine, Make it Colourful and tried grounding my image. I used prisma colored pencils to create a shadow below Ian but the pic didn't quite capture it well.

And here is my second take:

This is entirely done with Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 (another fav). I love these chipboard banners and the image just seemed to say accomplishment so I created a congrats card using Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type which is another product I have just a bit of an obsessive collection of! haha This card I took more liberty with the sketch although I believe you can still see the foundation of the sketch itself.

Thanks for stopping by!

Kindred Spirits

I love my helmar! That is no secret! There is a saying that once a Helmar Girl ALWAYS a Helmar Girl! And today I'm sharing a set of cards that I made using two staples of my Helmar stash - Helmar Craft Glue & Helmar Gemstone Glue.

These cards are so CAS they took me over an hour to design! *giggle* You wouldn't think so after looking at them and you probably wouldn't guess there are 3 prototypes now lining my G file but there are! I have been wanting to use these adorable PSA Stamps since we got them in our DT package and finally I knew what I wanted to do:

I told you they were CAS! What I love about Helmar Craft Glue is using it on border dies like this one from Spellbinders. Because of the holes right down in the middle and the scallop edges it's not really working for my Helmar Tape Runner so instead, I take my Helmar Craft glue and just go around the edges of the paper and press to stick to the card. Easy Peasy!! For a little pop of shimmer, I added the embossed flower border at the top & added soome bella dots to the center using Helmar Gemstone Glue. I love the simplicity of this design and will be adding this set of note cards to my etsy shop this week!

No Black Lines & Punches, Punches, Punches!

Happy Monday! Wow, I've gotten a lot done this morning - feels SO good. Now I can play a little. Speaking of playing, how about coloring with OUT black lines? Yep, it's something I've been seeing that was jump started by the ever fabulous Zoe at Make it Crafty! She is so inspiring and when I saw this technique being shown over and over on the FB group I just HAD to give it a try! So, I took out Birthday Anya 2 and stamped her with a palette ink (from ippity) called haystack. Then I started coloring her skin, then her hair and finished with her clothing. Now, I will admit that when I did her hair, I started to freak out a bit! LOL And then even more when I colored her dress, that was really a challenge (I realize how dependent I am on those black lines now!) but in the end, I am absolutely in LOVE with how she turned out. I'm particularly proud of her hair!!! I think I was able to give her hair a lot of movement and texture without be constrained with the lines. This is a fun technique and I encourage you to try it! To fill in her facial features, I lightly when over it with a primsa colored pencil and then for her eyes I went over that with a copic multiliner once I was happy. It was fun to fill in her eyebrows to match her hair also using a primsa colored pencil.

She matched perfectly with this beautiful Bella Blvd. paper I had lying on my desk so I took a couple different patters and cut them with a magnolia doohickey die. Speaking of, I completely forgot about our Through The Craftroom Door challenge going on right now. Have you seen the new blog - it's awesome and makes it so much easier to upload your card in our challenges. It started on the 15th but you have until the end of the month to enter. All you have to do is use 2 different die cuts/punches on your project & the color yellow! Easy Peasy! We have a fabulous sponsor this week:

Pizzazz A Plenty is generously offering $10.00 worth of goodies to the winner! I hope you will stop by & play!

TGF is sponsoring Lily Pad Cards Challenge this week!

The Greeting Farm is thrilled to sponsoring LilyPad Cards (the official InLinkz challenge)! They have a sketch for you this week and of course I just had to play since sketches are probably my go-to challenges.

For my card, I used the adorable Oliver from the OA-Surprise set. I colored him using copics but didn't remember to write the names of what I used down since I colored him right before we moved. I had this fabulous scrap of paper by October Afternoon sitting on my desk and it was just perfect for this little image. I also had fun layering with spellbinders die fancy tags three and labels 13 behind the image.I am a little bit addicted to using the sew easy on just about every thing I make lately! I just love the homespun feel it adds to my cards not to mention it really is SO easy! ;)

You have plenty of time to enter the Lily Pad Cards challenge and the prize is a stamp of YOUR choice from TGF as long as it is in stock!!! Have fun & Happy Friday! :D

Adhere in August with Helmar!

As soon as I saw the Adhere in August with Helmar Sketch I have been itching to give it a try.....with a scrapbook page no less! I just couldn't wrap my head around it for a card so I stepped out of my comfort zone a bit. I truly admire and drool over the fabulous scrapbookers we have on the team they have inspired me to give this art a try. I started small with this 8x8 page:

I bought this Making Memories Pitter Patter paper pack eons ago with the intention of scrapping for my son. Finally, with this sketch I was able to start that process. I absolutely LOVE this picture of my hubby holding my son. I don't know how old he was in the pic, probably just a few months at the most. This sketch is awesome and you still have a couple weeks to enter to win a fabulous Helmar Prize Pack! I can't wait to see what you create!

Here are the Helmar products I used to adhere it all together:

For the Stamping Bella Baubles, I just LOVE using Helmar Gemstone Glue because it dries completely clear I can still see all the beautiful texture within the gems. And I like to use Helmar Craft Glue when adhering felt to paper - it just has an incredible hold. For the rest of the paper and the photo I used Helmar Tape Runner which has a superior hold to anything I've tried and when scrapbooking, I know I want everything to remain sticking for years and years down the road.

I can see CLEARLY now at TGF!!

It's gonna be a BRIGHT and SUNSHINY day for sure at The Greeting Farm!  Hooray!

Today is the day- two new sets are available for purchase as we are proud to debut our new line of CLEAR stamps!

Here is my project using the My Fairy Princess set:
I created a page in my art journal - I'm actually playing catch up in the He-ART Journaling class that TGF is holding. I'm a couple weeks behind but that is the beauty of art journaling, it happens on your own time. Any time you feel like it, you can go back to the challenge for that week and gain new inspiration. I love that. This page came together in the matter of a day. Because of all the different layers of paint, I usually have to leave it and let it dry before moving to the next layer, sometimes I'm really good and I'm working on another card in the meantime! haha During the move, I came across this mishmash of chipboard letters I got YEARS ago....I figured it's time to put them to use so I scattered them on my desk and added them on this page. Then, because I know fellow teamie and TGF Coordinator Jess has TONS of great quotes on her pinterest page, I went there and this quote hit me square in the heart! Our move, the circumstances around it, the short sale of our house, etc. I would find myself sometimes thinking, if only....well, that's no place to be and so I loved this quote and will come back to this page whenever I need to be reminded!!! I printed the quote on regular printer paper and tore it off. I adhered to my page using Helmar Decoupage! I also used it to adhere the little strips of torn sassafras DP.

I know some of you are curious about the size of the fairy set so I took a pic to compare the retired rubber fairy to the one I used on this page:
They are perfectly mini sized!!!

And I saw other comments about clear stamp quality - well I've got to say, I'm a  bit of a clear stamp snob myself! *giggle* And these are no exception - they are the quality you've come to love and expect from TGF. A tip that I use on ALL my clear stamps is this:

All I do is take an art eraser like the one in the 1st picture and rub it across the stamp like the 2nd picture. What this does is take off any remaining residue that remains when the stamp has been made. If you do this, you will have a perfectly stamped image the first time every time! :D

We are SO excited to begin today's hop combining some TGF 'alum' with our Farmers!   Be sure to check out the TGF BLOG for a complete list of links, as one lucky winner will receive BOTH sets just for commenting and participating in the hop!  And just in case you get lost along the way in all of the excitement that is CLEARLY mounting...here is the list:

and our Farmers!
That's it for me today, but be sure to head over to the TGF BLOG, where it's ALL beginning!  HAPPY RELEASE DAY, everyone!

Clearly a happy preview day at TGF!!

Hey, everyone!

I am back to fully reveal what may have been just a cloudy snippet yesterday... did you see through our little surprise or are you CLEARLY stumped?

Well, wonder no more because some of the cherished members of the TGF alum along with the Farmers are thrilled to bring you a BRAND NEW line by TGF:

CLEAR STAMPS!!!!

Before we go any further, these stamps are not replacing our rubber line.  We are testing the waters to bring you some fun new designs, and most of all QUALITY stamps!  To add to the fun, we also have the opportunity to bring you some RE-RELEASES, in addition to NEW releases and we are excited to get started with our first two sets!

INTRODUCING.....

BANTASTIC and MY FAIRY PRINCESS

I used...BOTH!!!
I couldn't resist - as soon as I got them I had to use them together on one card. These fairies are so dear to my heart as they were one of the original TGF stamps I bought back when I first discovered TGF!!! And here they are being re-released as a clear stamp in a super cute set with all three plus sentiments!! And those banners....need I say more? I Just adore them as well. I used the sew easy to stitch across the cardstock and then because they are clear, I could line the stamp up exactly and then stitch right along the stamp. Gotta LOVE that! I took a couple pics to share just how easy it was!

So, what do you think?  Are you CLEARLY stunned or could you see RIGHT THROUGH our snippet yesterday?   Anxious to try the new line?  Well, be sure to leave a comment on the TGF BLOG to see who ELSE is previewing the FUN today...you'll see some familiar faces in addition to our Farmers and there's a SET OR TWO UP FOR GRABS there, too!

Clearly excited,

Back with a new Foto Friday weekly post!

Hi everyone!

Oh my goodness, I am so excited to come back on and have gained 5 new followers in my absence - TY TY TY! I feel like I've left you all hanging during our move but I'll be back tomorrow with some new stampy goodness for you, Promise!

Today, I'm here with an idea from my good friend Lori Boyd called Foto Friday - basically, just one photo with few words.

For my first Foto Friday I chose this:

My hubby didn't want me to take the pic - but I'm so glad I did. This is my hubby with our oldest right before we left our house for the final time after the closing. It's full of raw emotion and I'm so proud of the daddy my girls have!
