Crafts and Me Challenge - Punch It Out

This week at Crafts and Me Challenge the digi team is back with a challenge to Punch It Out! So grab those punches, nesties, etc and have just have fun creating!

 

 For my card I used the absolutely gorgeous May digital stamp. I LOVED her as soon as I saw her and finally worked up the nerve to color her up. Speaking of digi's there are a slew of NEW ones available NOW at Crafts and Me. I used Echo Park Summertime even though it looks like she's dancing with the moon I loved pairing her with bright summer papers. I don't know about your neck of the woods, but it's approaching 90 degrees here today! That is a bit too hot for me but eh, it's only for a month or so - I can handle it. I hope! The flowers are a mix of Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts Mulberry roses. I've been hoarding these pretty things and finally had the heart to part with a few! *giggle* I love using my Helmar Craft Glue for adhering these flowers - I know they won't be falling off when I do. Also, I used glitter on her wings! I don't normally like glitter just because of the mess....I don't like to sparkle for days but I bought this pretty purple glitter from my LSS and couldn't resist dusting some on her wings. I got a tip from Grace to use Helmar Gemstone glue for adhering glitter and let me tell you it worked like a charm! Since it dries clear you don't see anything BUT the gorgeous sparkle of the glitter. It even photographed well and that usually doesn't happen when I use glitter in the past! I love and believe I am hooked!

And now to my sad news. I've decided to step down from Crafts and Me with this being my last challenge as part of the DT. :( It was such a HARD decision because you KNOW how much I love their digital and rubber stamps but I just need to step away from some of the more time consuming parts of being on a DT and focus on my family a bit more. We are in the midst of trying to sell our house as well and I need to make sure I keep on top of the house so it's not a big thing when we have a showing. That means *gasp* cleaning up after every single card I make! haha Hard to do, for me, believe me! The girls at Crafts and Me are amazing - Teresa is wonderful to work for - she's a strong and amazing woman - I admire her lots. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to help launch the digital side of her shop and don't worry - I'll still be creating with all my favorites as well as newbies such as the ones just listed today!
