This set is aptly named the Steampunk Collection so I knew I had to dig out my Graphic45 steampunk paper. When I saw this particular stamp NAMED Guinevere no less, I KNEW I had to use her for the blog hop and thankfully all the girls agreed. haha I just got these fabulous lasercut chipboard gears from Make it Crafty and they were perfect for this card! I kept them naked b/c I love the way they look against the background. I loved that I was able to achieve the different height with my Helmar Liquid Scrap Dot as I wanted to pop up the 2nd chipboard gear and then also the image a little more from that. I love how it turned out!
Oh my goodness, seriously, and I know I say this EVERY.TIME. but she is my absolute FAVORITE of this release! And what is MORE exciting is that I will be giving her away to a very lucky commenter on my blog! Yep, you read right, the DT will each be giving away the stamp they debut on their blog and I will randomly select ONE winner from all the comments received to get MY favorite stamp of this release - Guinevere! :D I hope you love her as much as I do. Love the card and colours - most steampunk cards are so drab, but this is fabulous!
The sentiment compliments the figure beautifully & I love the aqua colour of her "pearl" necklace tieing in with the cog centres. The palcing of the butterfly strip - probably the other way around, image on butterfly strip - is excelelnt for it looks as though she has a bow in her hair. The dimension you created is lovely too.
