Crafts and Me Pink Challenge!

Welcome to a new challenge at Crafts and Me - This week our beautiful hostess is Mona and she's challenged to use pink!

It's been a rough week for my extended family as one of my mom's brothers passed away to cancer. My grandmother was hardest hit by grief I believe and she's still in the hospital as her body just couldn't handle it and she came down with pnemonia on top of it all. So, when I knew I wanted to make her a sympathy card, this beautiful Sara Burrier Twilight digi from Crafts and Me was the first stamp to come to mind. If you know me at all, you know I've always collected angels, I even have an angel tattooed on my shoulder. I believe wholeheartedly in angels watching over us so this beauty just had to go on a card for my grandma.

I colored her with copics in keeping with our PINK theme here at our Crafts and Me Challenge this week hosted by the super talented Mona! I love the rich earthy pinks found in this Echo Park Life is Good collection. I kept it simple with just a touch of embellishment with some pink twine. I added a bit of shimmer to her wings with my clear atyou glitter pen & a touch of glossy accents on her lantern.
Those big beautiful angel wings just had to be popped up so I used Helmar's Liquid Scrap Dots to give them some lift so it just looks like she's about to wrap them around herself or lift off in flight. I love these scrap dots because they can give that neat angeled lift with ease & it's not going anywhere when I mail it either!

Carisa, this is beautiful. Actually, it took my breath away when I read the sentiment; paired with that incredible angel image, it's all fantastic. I hope your grandmother is doing better these days.
