Challenge #9: Colouring with Shine this week at Make it Colourful!

This week at Make it Colourful, Zoe has challenged us to Color with Shine! This can be achieved most easily by leaving some white space on your image where you want it to look shiny. I love doing this on hair, but I wanted to challenge myself and used this fabulous Carriage of Love by Make It Crafty and wanted to make it look like it was made out of gold! I have to admit, I had a hard time coloring the door in the deep burgandy but keeping it shiny to match the rest of the carriage. For my accents, I used these awesome Laser Chipboard Swirly Corners available now at Make It Crafty. I absolutely LOVE these embellishments because you can make them any color you like to match your project or you can leave them naked for a more rustic look. For this card, I covered them with gold embossing powder. This carriage reminds me of Cinderella's carriage *maybe because my daughter is obsessed with Cinderella at the moment* but anyhow, thought this sentiment from Stamping Bella was fitting!
