Hello, Sunshine Easel Card

I've been such a LAZY blogger lately! LOL I just haven't felt like taking pictures and posting and writing and all that. Even making cards lately has been hard for me. I'm hoping I will find my mojo again - I may have tossed it out by mistake with all the cleaning I've been doing since becoming a full time SAHM! *giggle*

I wanted to make sure I got this in on time though for the current Crafts and Me challenge Time to Spread Your Wings - I knew instantly I wanted to use this gorgeous Ladybug Love digital image available at Crafts and Me. I absolutely LOVE these stamps - there have been some new releases that I've been adding to my growing wishlist as well! When I found some of this Basic Grey scrap I've been hoarding I almost squealed at how perfect they went together. You can't see it all too much in the photo but this image really sparkles! I used a lot of atyou glitter pens on her wings and stickles on her hair since I really wanted her wings to stand out. I also managed to combine my card with this weeks Cute Card Thursday sketch challenge! Whew, that took a lot out of me. I honestly do not know how people combine so many challenges in one project! LOL

Thanks for stopping by, off to try to find my mojo now. :D

For my last project, I made another corner bookmark. I am telling you, I LOVE these! You can find a tutorial how to do them HERE. H{ippity} Hop President's Day Monday!

It's been forever since I've stamped with my ippity stamps! It's always so nice to pull these out and play. I used some of the fabulous brown packing paper that comes with each unity order and created custom wrapping paper for my hubby's valentine gift. I used a couple different sets to make this Totally Happy, So This is Love, and unity stamp Heartful Memories. Since I used hearts, I'm also entering this in the first Unity Stamp Company Challenge! If you haven't heard, it's a month long challenge starting on the 15th of every month. Be sure to check it out.

Also, I got the custom ippity handle I won and wanted to share here with you! Isn't it awesome? I used it to stamp my project today and LOVED it. The wood really gives you a good grip while you stamp and I love that you can use it with the wood mounted unity stamps as well as the cling ippity stamps! I photographed it with a sketch copic so you can see how BIG this handle is!

Have a happy Monday and if you are off today, hope you are having fun and perhaps getting inky today! For a list of everyone participating in todays H{ippity} hop stop by the ippity blog.

Reeling in another Great Paperworks Co Sunday Sketch!

We have another great sketch for you this week at Paperworks Co! Don't forget, each week you enter, gets you another chance to win a free stamp at the end of the month!!!

For my inspiration card, I used the super cute Gone Fishing stamp. Since I wanted to create a more masculine card (seriously hard for this girly girl) I pulled out my Echo Park Little Boy collection - these papers are just so bright and happy! I hope you are inspired to try out this sketch! Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Anyone for Anya? Anything BUT a Card!

This week at Anyone for Anya? our challenge is to create ANYTHING BUT A CARD! I am slightly obsessed with making this fun and simple bookmarks so that's what I decided to go with today. :) I adore this digital image Grumpy Georgia by Sweet November CC Designs. She reminds me of my daughter, Teagan. Oh boy, does she ever give me this face! I colored her with Copics, but didn't keep track of what I used. The DP is from Echo Park Little Girl. LOVE this paper!

We have another wonderful sponsor today: Crafts4Eternity offering up 2 digital stamps! I hope you will think outside the card box and have fun creating anything BUT a card with us this week!

Make It Colourful #7 - Smooth Gradients

This week at Make It Colourful our challenge it to make Smooth Gradients. Basically going from a light to dark without seeing a transition line. I use Copics and I find this best achieved when I start with my lightest color, laying down a base and then gradually going darker and then back to my lightest blending all over with the lightest to smooth out any lines.

For my card, I finally used Tree of Love from Make It Crafty - I just adore this tree and as soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to pair it with OA- Little Dreamer by The Greeting Farm. I just imagine Amelia sitting under a tree on a beautiful day thinking and dreaming about what she wants to be when she grows up! My favorite papers from October Afternoon seemed to be perfect for this little scene.

I hope you will join us this week! I just love seeing your projects - and all the different mediums of coloring being used is so inspiring.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I made these adorable valentines for my 5 yr old daughter's classmates. When I saw the sock monkey freebie at Silhouette last week, I knew I wanted to use it for her Valentine's. Now, I consider myself a stamper, so doing something like this took me out of my comfort zone a bit. Once I started cutting out the pieces I kinda started freaking out, LOL! But I ran all the pieces thru my Xyron sticker maker and it was super easy. I wanted to keep them simple, so I created the base & mat using my nestibilities. For my sentiment I cut out a label using my silhouette. My hubby helped me put them all together (thank goodnes) b/c as usual I was putting them together the night before! *giggle* All in all I love them. I'm still trying to get used to the silhouette - I know it can make amazing things but I just have to figure it out a little bit more.

Here is a close up of one of the girl monkeys! I used some pink twine to put bows on the girls. :) You can also see I used some distress ink in fired brick to add some distressing around the label to add some dimension. For the eyes, I used some black rhinestones.

Anyone For Anya? Valelntine Inspiration Challenge

It's my birthday today and my posts are late! Eeek, I'm so sorry. I had a blast yesterday at Archiver's hanging out with some friends and had all intentions of finishing my projects when I got home but was pooped and just fell asleep on the couch! I just had too much fun hanging out with the girls, laughing and coloring. It was the perfect way to celebrate my birthday - esp when I got to spend some $$ for Vday, too!

This week at Anyone for Anya? we have a color inspiration challenge just in time for Vday tomorrow! I got my hands on this new Echo Park paper and just couldn't wait to dig in and use it for my project today! Actually, a lot of new goodies made their way onto my card today! PaperWorks Co Sunday Sketch - Hearts, Hearts, Hearts!

It's my birthday today so I'm late with my posts, I know, no excuse! LOL This weeks PaperWorks Co. sketch isn't a sketch so much as a call to use HEARTS! I knew I wanted to make my daughter a valentine card using Vday Bunny so that's what I created with this week's sketch. How cute is this little bunny? I hung out with some friends at Archiver's for my birthday yesterday and punched out the big heart with one of their dies. That was pretty fabulous since I don't own any heart dies....yet! They are definately on my wish list and I think I'll certainly get them before NEXT vday. I paired up my image with some Bo Bunny super cute Love Bandit papers! I kept it pretty simple with some lace trim and laser chipboard hearts that I colored red with atyou glitter pen. I also added glossy accents to the little heart.

I hope you will join us this week - remember at the end of the month, a random winner will be chosen out of those who participate - so the more challenges you enter, the better chances you have to win! Just visit the PWCO Blog to add your link.

Introducing "A Day In the Life of Abigail C." Collection by PaperWorks Co!

It's Release Day at PaperWorks Co and we have a fun Blog Hop for you WITH 6 fabulous new stamps! If you have arrived here from Nicole's fabulous blog you are in the right place! If not, you will want to start back at the beginning with da boss lady herself Peggy's Blog to get all the fun details - I also have the complete order of the blog hop at the end of my post.

Today is so exciting as we are debuting a NEW ARTIST for PaperWorks Co. Introducing "A Day in the Life of Abigail C " Collection by PWCO. She is too cute and you can see from the hop that it truly is a little day in the life of this cute little character.

For my first project, I made a card using Spring Swing with this GORGEOUS Bo Bunny Love Bandit papers. I thought the image went beautifully with these papers. I kept it simple as I wanted her to be the focus of the card. I then created my sentiment using Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type stickers. LOVE these!

Then for my 2nd project, my daughters have been asking me to make them bookmarks so this one is for my 4 yr old - Now, she doesn't really need a bookmark, but who am I to say no, when these are so easy and fun to make! Her only requirement was she wanted flowers on it so I thought Spring Blooms would be perfect with the heart flowers and since I already had that gorgeous Bo Bunny papers on my desk, I just used it some more pairing it up together! I also used Glossy Accents on the hearts.

I hope you adore her as much as I do - she is so much fun to color which I did using Copics. I did not keep track of what I used however, as I'm fighting a terrible flu along with my kiddos so I was just thrilled to be able to sit at my craft desk in time for the release! So, now it's time to hop over to the beautiful Steph's Blog and see what gorgeous eye candy she has for you!

Now what is a hop without prizes? YOU have a chance to win one of the 6 news stamps debuted along the way - all you have to do is leave a comment on each blog and Peggy will come round and choose 6 winners randomly from the blogs next week. Good luck!

In case you got lost along the way, here is the blog hop list:

New Stamps New Obsession!

Oh My Goodness, I have to thank my teamie Tracy for turning me on to these beauties from Crafts and Me. This is from the Hannah Lynn line. I just LOVE her hair - one of my favorite things to color on images is hair and these beauties have GORGEOUS hair! I ordered these at the beginning of Jan and FINALLY got them in my hot little hands last week. I couldn't wait to get inky once I opened my package. The one I just had to use first is Frosted Rose. I tried out for their DT when they had an open call last month and still have all my fingers and toes crossed that I make it - I would just be so honored to design for this amazing UK company. To put my card together, I just looked in my scrap drawer where I kinda just throw everything after I finish a project. Lots of times I dig in there when I'm at a loss of what I want to use. I found these gorgeous IOD papers that I had leftover from a 3d project I made a couple weeks ago. I used my Silhouette to cut out the label for the sentiment from TGF's  Because of You set.

Copics Used:
Skin - E000, YR000, YR00, E21, R21, R24, R02/R01 (new favorite skin combo)

Paper Makeup Stamps Things We Love Blog Hop!

Paper Makeup Stamps is turning 2 years old! And to celebrate the occasion, they are having a super fun VIP blog hop with the theme "the things we love". The entire design team invited special crafters to play along in this hop.

I am so honored and excited to be Lisa M's special guest in this very fun PMS Blog Hop. And if you've arrived from her blog you are right on track. To see everyone involved, please go back to the Paper Makeup Stamps company blog for a master list as well as to enter your self to win a super fabulous prize!

Since the theme of the blog hop is Things We Love I used Moody For Reading and made a bookmark. I colored her with copics, but did not keep track of what I used. These bookmarks are so easy and fun to make! I followed THIS tutorial. One of my absolute favorite things to do (other thank stamping, of course) is READ! Now, I don't do a whole lot of it with three kiddos around, but I do manage to read here and there.

And now it's time to move on to super talented Maria Gurnsey's Blog.  As for the master list, you can check it out at the PMS Blog.

Anyone for Anya? March Calendar Time!

Since it's the first challenge of the month here at Anyone for Anya? it's time for our March Birthday Calendar page! I am having so much fun creating this calendar. Since my son's birthday is in March - I created a boy page for this month using Oliver from OA-Happy Day (I just adore Oliver by TGF) and paired it with some EP All About Boy DP. I hope you are having fun building your birthday calendar as well! One of these days, I'll actually put them in the binder part - but I still have to figure out how to put that together.

This week we have a fabulous sponsor - Whiff of Joy - so I hope you will join us this week for your chance to win THIS:

Make It Colourful - Challenge #5d Blending Blue & Purple

This week at Make It Colourful our challenge is to blend Blue and Purple - This is quite a jump for me to blend different color families together but leave it to Zoe to have me jump out of my comfort zone. I first saw this done on Zoe's blog with this gorgeous card HERE. She makes it look gorgeous. I'm actually reallly happy with my first attempt and can't wait to try this again. For my blue's and purples I used B12, B14, & V01 on the baby's overalls.

For this challenge, we also have our first of many wonderful sponsors other than Make It Crafty and we are so excited to have Karen's Doodles sponsoring us. Zoe picked out a couple images that would merge wonderfully with her background images and I chose Butterfly Baby Boy paired with MIC Petals and Palings. It created such a cute scene! I chose this image because it reminded me of my son and how everything is so wonderous to him. I used some fun paper by Echo Park.

I hope you all will join us this week in this fun challenge! Have a great weekend & happy stamping!!

Happy FWF Friday!

Two of my design teamies recently lost parents and I made this card to send to them. It's always hard for me to make sympathy cards -- I guess because the reason behind them is sad and generally I like happy cards. I kept it simple with the design so I could send it easily. I used Now & Always by ippity. I love this sentiment. I think it's nice for a sympathy card as it's important to remember the happy times.

I hope everyone is having a nice Friday - I'm wrapping up my first week as a SAHM and have loved it. I'm still trying to find my groove and we had 2 snow days thrown in there so that kind of threw things off a bit but was fun to have all my kiddos home. I can't believe next week is my birthday and next month my son will turn ONE! Where does the time go? Enjoy it - enjoy this day, this moment RIGHT NOW - each day, each breath is a gift - that's why it's called the present. :) Have a fabulous weekend! I have a ton of projects to work on this weekend - my blog will be busy the next few days so I hope you will take time to stop back by again.

Another Tshirt!

I am finally able to show you the shirt using Rocker Roxette I made for my other daughter! She dictated exactly how she wanted her colored. Green hair, rainbow tights, red guitar,  pink gloves. LOL It was pretty cute and fun to color to her delight. When I was finally done, she exclaimed it's BEAUTIFUL! I'd say that is success. :) I didn't get a picture of it right away - so had to wait until after the wash to finally grab a pic - and I'm excited to say that there was NO fading and NO bleeding when using copics with the heat transfer sheets. I think that's awesome! I will definately be creating more custom tshirts for my kiddos. There is still time to enter our Color on Anything BUT white cardstock challenge at Make It Colourful! See all the details HERE.
Here is a close up - I actually LOVE how bright & colorful it turned out. When Tolla wore hers to school on Monday she said everyone loved her tshirt and thought it was pretty cool that her mom made it. :) I love being cool - I know it won't last long so I'll take it when I can get it! Since I had fun with her hair and love coloring funky hair colors - I'm entering this in the Mad for Markers Crazy Hair Color Challenge!

Challenges I'm entering:
Mad for Markers - Crazy Hair Color YG11, G07, B04, B00
Copic Creations - Cool Colors (my image is mostly made up of cool colors - just a touch of warm with the rainbow tights & guitar)

Sweet & Toxic Saturday Sketch

I couldn't wait to play with my new Sweet & Toxic stamp as soon as I finally got my hands on it. So, I knew I would be playing in CA&F Saturday Sketch this week. I've been greatly inspired by cards & layouts with a lot of white space. Now, I'm generally intimidated by white space so this was definately a challenge for me. To start I sprayed my white cardstock with a combo of purple & yellow glimmer mist. I'm a little late on that bandwagon, but LOVE it now that I've gotten my hands on a couple colors. I actually worked backwards on this one and colored my image first - being so colorful, I knew I wanted to use these Bella Blvd papers and the sentiment from because of you was just perfect.

Copics:
Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E02, R20, R02
Hair: R81, R85, R89, V99
Clothes: R29, R24, YR61, YR68, Y00, Y08, YG11, YG07, G07, B00, B02, B05, RV000, RV02, V12, V15, V17, BG10, C1, C3, C6, C8, 100
