FWF - Sorry I'm late!

Ok, so I had all good intentions of making a new project for today but ended up having the worst night in a LONG time with my son. This teething thing is taking on a whole new level for us. He just would NOT sleep for anything and the crying, oh it breaks my heart when he's crying and nothing can comfort him not even me!!!

So, I'm late since we finally fell asleep as the son was rising and my other 2 were getting up and decided to just share a few of my favorite unity/ippity projects from the past year.

Gosh, now I see why i LOVE LOVE LOVE Unity & Ippity. Seriously, I feel like these stamps are just Maaagic. :) Happy New Year everyone! I hope you are all going to have a healthy & Blessed 2011. Be sure to stop by the Unity Blog for a list of everyone participating.

Also, don't forget about this awesome sale going on now:

A Magical Christmas Recipe!

Hi all you PWCO fans!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas & holiday season - mine was pretty much a whirlwind!! It was definately magical though with my girls ages 5 & 3 and my son celebrating his first Christmas at 9 months. He was pretty much oblivious to it all but my girls - wow, if I could make time stand still....they were both just such a joy to watch.

Our recipe this week is to use 2 papers, 1 flower & a tag! At first I was kind of thrown for a loop with that combo, but my 3 yo really inspired this card. I thought it would be cute to cut out A Magical Christmas and put her hiding behind the gifts as if she just can't wait to get to unwrapping that paper to see what is waiting for her inside!

I used some misc paper from my stash along with some of my Echo Park Christmas paper - I forget exactly which line it is. Then for my tag, I wrapped a plain kraft tag with Tim Holtz tissue tape in different angles. Then distressed the edges in purple & added my poinsetta flower on top. I love how it turned out! Def love the tissue tape effect on the tag. Very fun to do.

Be sure to check out Paperworks Co Blog for more details and to join me in this week's recipe challenge!

Copics used:
Skin: E0000, E000, E11, R20, R01
Hair: E50, E51, E95
Clothes: E09, R29, V000, V04, V09

Paperworks Co - Recipe Tuesday

Hi everyone - welcome to another Recipe Tuesday for Paperworks Co! This week we want to see Sparkle, Spots & Snowflakes! I think that is just the perfect combination don't you? When the snow finally does fall here it's beautiful. I love seeing it sparkle in the sunlight after it has freshly fallen overnight. I'm a bit of a romantic in that sense. I am totally dreaming of a white christmas but that is not likely to happen here. So...I colored up this super cute RAM image - A Magical Christmas!

I colored her with my copics and added some subtle sparkle with my lavendar atyou glitter pen. Also, I couldn't resist adding some glossy accents to her snowglobe! I love making shaped cards and had these scalloped circles for awhile and knew they were just perfect for this.

I have to add, I'm SO sorry this is late. This actually turned into just about the worst day for me. Our hot water heater busted this morning and I had to work and do a final exam (I'm training) so there was no way I couldn't work so I was pretty much out of it all day until just now. Thankfully, Peggy rocks and was so understanding that my post would be late. I hope to see lots of participation this week! Be sure to stop by PWCO Blog to add your card.

And now for my card...

I used the new Ornate Floral Frame - Isn't it GORGEOUS?! It's perfect for framing your favorite seated image. I colored my image with Copics and oh, I didn't write them down - I used about 6-7 different G & YG for the leaves and then did some feather blending with a really light YR and V on the flowers. For the centers I had to add some bling with purple rhinestones! I added my Miss Anya to the center of the frame after coloring & cutting her out, then I popped the entire image up on my kraft base. I left the design simple with some lace & pearls to accent the sentiment. I hope I've inspired you to spruce up your images with some FUN background stamps.

Happy Friday Friends with Flair!

For my card today, I used the super dee duper cute winter wishes sentiment by Unity Stamp Co. exclusive to last months issue of Paper Crafts! I was so excited to get that issue and the stamp is just fabulous! Classic awesome whimsical Unity!!! I created my CAS card as a set of 10 christmas cards so I did keep it simple for that reason. I used my snowflake cuttlebug dry embossing folder and used my scor-pal to add a couple lines for a border above the sentiment as well. I added a little bit of flair by tying a bow with my favorite bakers twin & added some red gems to match on the snowflakes. I loved the way it turned out!

Don't forget, Unity Stamps is having some FABULOUS sales all month long - different special each week with no Co-Brand stamps coming out each week as well. This week new Echo Park stamps are being featured along with this AMAZING offer! I need a money tree to get all that is on my wish list at this point! LOL

Be sure to check out the Unity Blog for a list of everone particpating today - don't forget to look for the special blinkie for your chance to win a grab bag of 25 random Unity Stamps!

A Jolly Tilda Christmas Card!

Ok, Magnolia stamps are NOT new to me - I've seen them & have always thought they were adorable - even had a few images rak'd to me a couple time - even WON one in a challenge right before I had my son - but they've ALWAYS intimidated me. I kept thinking I just wouldn't be able to make them look as cute I see them around. However, when I saw this Jolly Tilda - I knew I HAD to have her and I couldn't wait to color her when she was finally in my hot little hands. It's no secret I love coloring with Copics so when I saw the iCopic color challenge I knew I was going to use that for my tilda christmas card. I'm totally hooked now - so begins another stamp obsession! hehee

I'm also entering this sweet card in a few other challenges:

Paperworks Co - Recipe Tuesday

Hi everyone! I'm so excited for my first official post with Paperworks Co. I get to bring you our new Recipe Tuesdays this month. Peggy & Danielle have come up with some FUN recipe's for us and we'll even be having prizes now & then so I hope you will play along with us.

The recipe to follow this week is to use 1 snowman, 3 snowflakes & a sentiment on your card or project. Here is what I came up with:

I used some Echo Park Christmas papers and colored my image with Copics. Do you see my 3 snowflakes? Aren't they cute?! I really wish we'd get some snow here in Colorado....it's supposed to be 70 degrees today!! That is crazy. I think that's why I haven't been able to get in the Christmas spirit yet --- I'm waiting for some snow to help me out...although, I don't have much longer to get in the spirit so I might have to do without the snow this year. Hopefully your cards will help me since obviously Colorado isn't. hehee

You have until next Monday Dec 21 to join us! I look forward to seeing what you come up with! Join us HERE.

I'm also entering this in a few other challenges:
Mad for Markers - Anything Goes
Copic Creates - Light Source (mine is from the upper right)
The Pink Elephant - Winter Wonderland

Happy H{ippity} Hop!

Happy  Monday everyone. My weekend was virtually non-existent since I worked both days. Looking forward to a glorious day off however today with lots of crafting. Today is the last week of school for my daughter and I want to finish up her teacher gift. :)

Today, though, I'm sharing another Christmas Card set that I made that didn't sell. I kept it really simple & pretty flat so it would be easy to mail. I love how it turned out! I used Season of Joy again and I still have this card kit available for purchase if you are interested!

Anyone for Anya - Color Challenge!

Hi there! Is everyone ready for Christmas? We got our tree yesterday and it's beautiful. The girls decorated while I was at work but waited until I got a break to put the angel on top. So sweet. :)

This week at Anyone for Anya? we have a beautiful color challenge using this picture:

Isn't that gorgeous!? I loved it and could wait to use my fabulous new Webster Pages Christmas pack. I paired it up with Miss Anya dressy that I've yet to ink up for myself and added a couple touches with flourishes & a paper flower. I love how it turned out.

I hope you will play along with us this week. We have another fabulous prize this week sponsored by: KARENS DOODLES - PRIZE = 2 DIGITAL IMAGES

And don't forget - WE ARE HAVING A DT CALL - there is only 3 days left to enter! Read THIS POST for all the details & to place your blog for consideration. This is a GREAT team - everyone is super nice & friendly.

Happy Friday - FWF!

So, I finally had my first craft show yesterday - it was small - at my mom's work and I didn't even have to be there! LOL I just gave her my stuff and she sold it for me. For my first show, and not really knowing how to price things, I think I did pretty well. Only my single cards sold - non of my cards sets - which really bummed me out since I created those especially for the show since it is holiday time - I created holiday card sets of 10 but think I wayyyy overpriced them. Ah well. Next time.

The project I am sharing today are some fun giftcard holders I made for the show (none of these sold either. LOL) but I still think they are super cute! I'll use them for our nieces and nephews since they didn't sell. :)

I used the ippity set Season of Joy and I have ONE set left in stock and if you'd like to purchase it today, just click on the paypal button below and it's YOURS! I created it as a card kit so for just $15 you'll get everything you need to make 5 cards in the kit, 4 card bases, DP, ribbon and of course the stamps to make as many projects as you want. I'll even throw in a ippity ink pad FREE! This set actually retails for $24 so you're getting a great deal. And I don't charge shipping - ever - in the continental US. :)

Here is a picture of the kit you will be getting:

$15.00

And don't forget Unity Stamps is having an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G sale going on right now!!! I totally took advantage of it already & you should, too!! I can't wait to get my stamps (and I ordered Wed night & got my shipping notice already yeseterday - talk about FAST!) and get inky with them.
