Adorable London for SBS DT!

This is my 2nd post today for my Hippity Hop Monday card, please scroll down!
I just had to make another card to try out for the DT on the new challenge blog for Simply Betty Stamps! And it's probably not my last because I also picked up some of the cute school emo digi's. I used London this time! Isn't she so cute! And there is her furry little friend looking up adoringly at her. I had such a fun time putting this card together since I used all the little goodies I picked up this weekend. And do you just love that skully? You can get yours at Simply Betty Stamps store.
I colored London using copics and since she has that adorable curly hair, I wanted to try out Amy's curly hair tutorial from Color Me Copic. I still need practice but it was fun & I can't wait to try it again.
If you love these stamps as much as I do there is still time to try out for the DT! You have until Sept 1 and can find all the details HERE.

Hippity Hop Monday!

Happy Monday everyone! I made this card following this weeks UAC B&W plus a pop of color. My color pop is yellow - I love black white & yellow. I used this great sentiment from The Simple Things & paired it with some October Afternoon papers. I absolutley love how it turned out.

Be sure to check out the Ippity Blog for a list of everyone participating this week & if you want to join in this fun UA Challenge, check out the thread here at SCS.

Lil Teacher's Pet

It's been back to school for a couple of weeks now for my daughter & I've just been in the mood to make all kinds of school cards & projects so when I saw this week's challenge at Tiddly Inks I knew it was time to use Teacher's Change the World available at Tiddly Inks! This image is so cute & it's part of a set so you get some really cute sentiments when you purchase it. I LOVE how Christy does that. So, my papers are (can you guess) October Afternoon of course! Yes, it's an obsession, I don't know when / if I'll ever stop loving their paper lines. I colored her up with Copics & actually sad story, I had one all colored & cut out but after I went around the edges with my black marker, I accidently got a bit smudged on my finger which I then got on her face. I tried to clean it up but to no avail, so I had to color up the 2nd one. Good thing I didn't mess that one up b/c I only had two printed!!! So with the first image, I cut out the apple on her head & popped it up. See, good things do come out of crafty messes. haha And because I love sketches, I used this weeks sketch from Friday's Sketchers & since I used no NESTIES or PUNCHES I can enter it in Cute Card Thursday. Let me tell you THAT was a challenge as I almost always use at least one nestie & one punch on most of my cards. LOL

Anyone for Anya Sketch Challenge!

Happy Sunday everyone! Before we get to this week's challenge, I want to announce the winner of my AFA Birthday Blog Candy!! The winner of Cupcake Anya Digi is #3 Nicki (Little Ted)!! Congrats, Nicki - please email me so I can hook you up with your download from TGF.

And now on to our challenge, this week at Anyone for Anya? we have a wonderful sketch for you:

I just love sketches - and this one is great! My friend's baby just turned 1 and I knew I wanted to make him a little bday card using this adorable Oliver from the OA - Happy Day set. I just love him. He is so much fun to color and I picked up this MS dino punch on clearance a couple weeks ago and finally got to use it. I think it turned out cute!

Be sure to check out the AFA? Blog to enter as we have another great sponsor this week and to get a list of the winners from last week's blog hop!

I am very excited to get to know & work with everyone! We already have an amazing line up of sponsors and the challenges are going to be a load of fun! There are 2 teams for 2 challenges each month lead by each team.

FWF - my first mini album!

Happy Friday everyone!!! Sorry this is up so late - It's been another SUPER long week for me and I am really looking forward to this weekend. I need some big blocks of creative time rather than all this broken up here & there. LOL Although that's what I used to create my first EVER mini album!!! I started this little star book when I was pregnant - by just making the cover - so finally I took the time to create the rest of the book & add some photos to it. Most of the stamps I used come from Ippity's A Moment in Time with one little thought bubble from Sweet Thoughts of Spring.

Ok, so I have a few pictures for you so enough talking & here it is:

And one more....3 posts in one day?! whoa...

I just HAD to get Christian inky today before I went to work. I loved coloring his hair blue - I think it's the first time I've done blue but I might be wrong. LOL I love how it came out. Gosh, whenever I'm coloring tho I think how I wish I had just the right color combo but alas, we make do right?! So, I've been dying to use this new sentiment as well & since Christian is hanging out with his little dragon pet, I had to make a little revision. hehe I think it turned out cute - and do you just LOVE the skully?! I do, you can pick yours up at Simply Betty Stamps - they are handmade and just too cute.
I ended up making this card for a couple challenges as well as my 2nd card for the SBS Challenge DT call!! Whoohoo, right? So, I used the color combo from this week's Color Throw Down & it just so happens Cupcake Craft Challenge had a color challenge for Blue & Green as well!
Ok, well, that's all the playing I get to do today! :( Why do I have to work again?! LOL Oh, right, to pay for my addiction, *cough, cough* hobby, I mean!

It's another DT Call - Southern Girls Challenge!!!

Whew, there are so many DT calls going on right now - it seems they happen in bursts & this time there are a lot that I would LOVE to be on so I just have to give it a go. I'm making cards anyway so I might as well, right?! I couldn't wait to color up cute little Mikey here from The Stamping Bazaar & just LOVED the sketch from Friday Sketchers so I decided to use this card to submit to be on the Southern Girls Challenge DT!! You can find all the details HERE as there are still a few days left to send in your card. She wanted us to use our favorite things and well, I used my Copics and nesties which I use on nearly every card since I love coloring images. :) Plus, I also used my distressing tool which I seem to use all the time along with these awesome prima & mulberry flowers which I'm quickly running out of cuz they are on almost every card lately so I guess those are a few of my favorite things (oh, great, now I have Julie Andrews running thru my head...LOL).

PS. I just hate having only one lamp for my photobox. It totally stinks. I'm gonna have to figure out where I can pick up a replacement bulb.

Simply Betty Challenges DT Call!!

In case you haven't heard there is going to be a new challenge blog for Simply Betty Stamps! When I saw this design team call I knew I had to try out! I just LOVE these stamps - they are so quirky & funky. Just a blast to color. There is still time to try out! You have until Sept 1 and can find all the details HERE.

For my card, I just had to ink up the ever fabulous Lola that I picked up when Betty had a back to school sale. The challenge is to make a funny, cute & quirky card. I love these sentiments and have had to pick them up when I see them - thought it was pretty cute and looks like Lola is being sassy, telling you like it is. I'm a little bummed b/c I lost one of my lights for my light box, I have no idea where to buy a replacement! LOL So, I had to make due with only one light so it's a little shadowy.

Ok, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed! It would be awesome to make it on this DT!

Michelle's Scrapbooking & more DT Call!!

I sent in my application over the weekend for Michelle's Scrapbooking & more DT Call - If you've ever dreamed of designing for an online store (like I have!) you can find all the deets HERE. I absolutely LOVE everything she carries & honestly lately I just prefer shopping online than ever before since most of my LSS have shut down. It's just easier & shipping is great plus I don't have to lugg all 3 kiddos out with me! haha

She wanted to see 3 samples so I sent in 3 of my favorite cards that have all been posted to my blog before:I've got my fingers crossed!!

H{ippity} Hop Monday!

I decided to step out of my little card box and get inky with canvas this week! Oh my gosh, ever since I saw THIS tutorial on the Ippity Blog I just KNEW I would have to give this a try. It took me awhile to find my courage, but oh my, believe me, this is just the start! I can't wait to do this again. I used 3 different sets: Music of My heart (for the music background), Life's Little Moments (for the sentiment), & Fall for You (for the little flower accents). I also used distress inks & then embellished it with some gorgeous blue lace, ribbon, pearls & flower. I love it! I have so many ideas for more to make as gifts. I think I've found my handmade Christmas item for this year.
Be sure to head over to the Ippity Blog for a list of everyone participating today!

Happy Birthday to Anyone for Anya? Blog Hop!

I am super excited to be a part of this fabulous & fun Blog Hop today happening at Anyone For Anya? We're so excited to be turning ONE! If you came here from the AFA blog you are in the right place! If not, please be sure to check it out for all the FUN details about our PRIZES this week. As we talked about how to celebrate we all decided to give YOU our loyal followers this presents with our own little blog candy! All you have to do to be entered is participate in our challenge this week which is to make a fun birthday card to celebrate with us! We'll announce the winner next week with our new challenge! I can't wait to see what everyone makes & my gift for you will be the super cute digital Cupcake Anya you see featured on my card today. I just loved her when she was released this month & HAD to get my hands on her, so when I saw her peeking thru at me on my desk this week I knew she would get colored up for this special day.
For my card, I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch which I thought was SOOO much fun. At first I wasn't sure I could handle it but then I saw this pretty lace in my messy bin of sorts & it kinda just came together after that - don't you love it when that happens - I do!! I picked up that fun cupcake paper at Archiver's one day and colored her with copics to match. Then I used my ever neglected stickles & that puffy white stuff I can never remember the name of to add yummy texture to that cupcake! LOL Of course I had to add some bling to her bows b/c this IS a special occassion. Ok, so I just LOVE how this card turned out and have been displaying it on my desk since. Hehe, not sure this one will be given away....just yet anyway. :)
So, without further adieu, your next stop on this super fun hop is CAZ. Oh, just wait until you see what she has whipped up for your viewing delight!

FWF - back to school style!

It's Friday & that means Friends with Flair! Gosh, I have never felt so happy for TGIF as I do today!! It has been a long week with work, my new schedule & stuff. But I made it through and I really do love my new job!
So, I wanted to make Tolla's kindergarten teacher a card with a little something (to be shown at a later date.hehe) when I saw THIS Unity Stamp Store Kit for August, it was a MUST HAVE. It's just perfect for all those little things throughout the school year and I can see using this set over and over and over, etc. I also want to try my hand at scrapbooking so I knew I had to get it. Hopefully I'll actually do that instead of just saying it this time! LOL For my card I use Taylored Expressions Sketch seen HERE & of course my favorite October Afternoon papers again! I am just seriously addicted to it. Can't get enough. I love how it's just so retro. I can't help but smile whenever I see it. And I feel so inspired by it! Gotta love that, give me some OA papers & some Unity Stamps and I'm happy! I also just happened across All Things Unity blog recently & was happy to see their back to school challenge that fits perfect with this new set & my card!
Be sure to check out the Unity Blog for a list of ALL the blogs participating today in the FWF hop - It's so much fun to see what other Unity / Ippity lovers have made this week.

Lil Lolita Challenge #11!!

Hi there - sorry my post is late for this week's LLB challenge - we have a fun one for you and the Lolita Ladies have really done an amazing job this week! Our challenge this week is called a Rose is a rose...use roses anywhere on your card paired with a Lil Lolita & you're in!!! Kellie has another great prize for you this week - a $10 gift voucher to her Tickled Pink Stamps!!! Very cool.

For my card, I kept it simple since my craft time has been quite limited lately. I just adore this 60s Mod Lolita Ivy and couldn't way to get her inky. I love these paper roses and just can't seem to complete a card without them!!! I use the sketch from 2S4U this week. They have some great sketches every week & I love to design with a sketch.
Thanks for stopping by & be sure to check out the Lil Lolita Boutique Challenge blog for our DT inspiration this week.

Happy H{ippity} Hop Monday to ya!!

So, after losing my mojo this weekend - a lot of things going on that just totally snatched it for me, I was IM'ing with my good DT friend Patricia at about 10:30p and realized I needed a card for today! LOL So, I started scouring the blogs for challenges because that helps my mojo & when I came across the Color Throwdown Challenge this week, they had my absolute FAV color (purple) in their set this week so I finally had an idea where to start. Then I remembered being SO inspired by Savannah's adorable little circle shaped cards - she is phenominal by the way!
So I looked thru my {ippity} sets from the fabulous Spring release that hadn't seen love yet and decided I would ink up this adorable & thrifty $6 set Faith Blooms. Instead of doing a circle card, I decided to do a little note card with my Nestie Labels 1. I used the largest die to cut out the card & then the same to attached the purple CS over the top to camoflage the fold. This set totally caught my eye & I hope you like what I've done with it. I love inking on dark cardstock with white so I stamped off my flower image on that & then couldn't wait to ink up the cork I bought from M's this weekend and just LOVE how it turned out!

Speaking of thrifty sets - with the NEW Summer {ippity} Release, we now have NINE sets $10 & under! Isn't that awesome?! And a lot of them are stamps SETS not just single stamps. Pretty awesome. I love {ippity}! I have them available for purchase on my {ippity} Sales Blog!

Be sure to check out the Unity Opportunity Blog for a list of EVERYONE participating today! This sure does make Monday's great in my opinion!

Anyone for Anya? Color Challenge!!

I have just recently come across these adorable images by CC Designs. I think they are so cute & couldn't wait to get my hands on some of my own. So when I got this little cutie Kerchief Birgetta in the mail recently I knew I would be using her for the next AFA Challenge which just happens to be a fun color challenge! Take a look at the picture below and just take any of the colors from the image. I love purples & pinks and of course had to add these fun flowers that are just about my favorite embellie at the moment.

Make sure to check the AFA blog for all the details of the challenge & to see all the pictures from the DT this week.

FWF & my IHHC card!

hehe, too many acronyms in the stamping world ya think?! Nahhh. It's Friday & that means Friends with Flair and for my card I'm sharing today I also followed the Ippity Hip Hop Challenge Dog Days of Summer! I love summer time. And my favorite past time is reading tons of great books. That is what summer is to me, when I lived in FL it meant going to the beach and reading, now it means stealing any moment I can if I'm reading a good book - ya know, with 3 little ones, it's hard to find any free time these days & if I do, I'm probably more likely to stamp!
So, you wanna hear a funny story?! Well, the stamp set I used is ippity's Books A Flutter (available on my ippity sales blog for purchase) and I thought, hey, wouldn't it be cool to paper piece the books?! Sure! Why not!? So, I did....took some time, but I loved it. Then as I was figuring out how to put the card together, I thought oh, I bet it would fit perfectly on that big Fancy Labels nestie tag....sure did! So I grabbed my CB and cut out my tag.....then, when I was trying to put together my card, I could NOT FIND THE BOOK IMAGE!!! Oh my goodnes, now my desk was not so tidy, hence the use of all that OA scraps so I thought ok, I'll tidy up and then I'll find my image....nope, nothing. I did a sweep of my clothing, nope, not there. Then I'm down on all fours scoruing the carpet. Nope. Nothing. I even checked my CB and the plates. Nothing.....Start the meltdown. Start the talking to myself saying where could this image be?! LOL Mind you, it's nearing 1am now. I feel the tears coming on -- yes, I'm known for crying over little things. Finally after retracing my steps, I checked my plates ONE MORE TIME. Yep....there it was stuck to the bottom of my A plate. Of course. LMAO - So tell me your funniest crafting story....well, I think mine has a happy ending b/c as I took a break from looking I took more time to put my card together and added the little embellies off to the side. And I really like that. :)
Be sure to check out the Unity Blog for a list of ALL the blogs participating today in the FWF hop - It's so much fun to see what other Unity / Ippity lovers have made this week.
If you made it this far, this is my 2nd post today & I'd love it if you scrolled down to see my Bellarific Friday Card!

Friday the 13 is Bellarific!!!

Omygosh, I almost missed the deadline for this one. It's been a rough week to try to find any time for stamping. My daugther started kindergarten on Monday & that has killed a lot of time between pick up & drop off - esp since she only goes for 3 hours!! And then work, well, work always kills stamping time, right?! LOL So over the course of a day, between a minute here to pick out a stamp I wanted to use & a minute there checking out scraps on my desk for something that would go together and a minute somewhere else to color & assemble, I finally made this card!!

I absolutely ADORE this little NO FAIR GIRL - as you all know my obsession with tiddly inks began with Stamping Bella. I am ALWAYS forgetting to send out bday cards so I figure I should make a few of these to have on hand when I do! LOL Who could be mad at me when they see that cute little face?! And there is bling everywhere - that bazzil flower is sparkly (love it!) - then there is the gem in the middle and I also added some spica glitter to the dress altho that doesn't show up as well. I love it! So, now I need to forget a bday and send it out --- oh wait, I already did! LOL I'll pop it in the mail and someone will get happy mail in a few days.....
Be sure to check out the ENTIRE Bellarific Friday List of sistahs participating at Bloggabella!

Lil Lolita Boutique Challenge #10 - Polka Dots!

Hello there! I cannot believe it is week 10!!! Wow, that is crazy - when you're having fun - you're having FUN!!! And this week is such a blast - our challenge is to use dots. And lately I've been having fun paper piecing - it's such a cool & easy way to pretty up an image and have it match your card or projet. Don't let mine fool you - I altered a composition notebook - they were on sale with all the back to school stuff for .25!! I had to pick up a handful b/c they are so fun to alter.
Be sure to check out the Lil Lolita Boutique Blog for all the amazing eye candy from the rest of the DT. I just love how we all had a little bit different take on this fun challenge.

Well, it's late for me and I have got to get some shut eye....Be back later with a fabulous {ippity} Release! Which is optly feature here on this project - the stamps I used are from the Spring Release as I don't have my hands on the Summer release yet, but SOON...Very SOON!!!
