Tolla's 5th Birthday invitations

These are my daughter's 5th bday invitations. Her bday is tomorrow but her party is next week. A little late in sending out but hopefully her friends will still be able to come. Most of the stamps come from The Greeting Farm's Sunshine Kit. The only stamp that does not is the invited sentiment which is from Stampin Up! The dp is from Reminisce Endless Summer line. I used an EK Success punch & VERY loosely followed this week's Taylored Expression Sketch. It is where I got my inspiration from even tho you probably can't even tell! I colored all the Anya's with Copics and in case anyone cares....red hair: Y38, YR04, R08; auburn hair: E19, E18, E13; black hair: 100, C3

WOYWDW - a productive mess today!

yay, it's wednesday and that means another WOYWDW (what's on your workdesk wednesday). i love these and altho my desk still looks messy it's a productive mess! LOL i'm putting together the last of my daughter's bday invites. maybe i'll be able to share them later today if i get cracking. thanks for looking today! i have lots of new goodies after my crop on saturday. those are dangerous when you're at a store with so many fabulous things to buy! at least they are for me.

H{ippity} Hop Monday!

Yay, it's Monday! And that means it's H{ippity} hop time! I made this card at the crop on Sat as well. It was the 2nd card I made and I kept true to a more simple style which I love when making cards with my {ippity} stamps. The sentiment I used is from the Delightful Little Things set. I love this set - it's full of all these great quotes & sentiments. This one I loved so much b/c it's so true. My color combo is for the Beary Scraps color challenge of Navy, Turquoise & Lime. They are a bit muted but the colors are still there. :) I'm glad I was able to make a card for the challenge as the prize is my new favorite embellies!!!

First of 3 & 3 challenges in 1 or so i thought...

Whew, I went to a special twilight themed crop at Archiver's on Sat and it was such a blast. I got there a bit late - you know, trying to cram one last nursing session before leaving and all. but I'm so glad I made it! Sat at an amazing table of wonderful women to chat with and just felt that connection with that only comes with loving to papercraft, being twilight obsessed & having 3 kids. LOL Yeah, it was great to chat with other moms of 3 and see that I can survive this!!!

So, the first card I'm sharing I actually made last at the crop. It uses the super cute tiddly inks digi cherry bugg. I used LOTS of stickles and bright colors as she's meant for a few challenges this week. This first being of course the Tiddly Inks Challenge for embellishments (oops, I didn't read the challenge right, was supposed to use buttons and/or lace so this doesn't qualify but had fun nonetheless), I'm absolutely in LOVE with these flower embellies - they are so delish - they pretty up just about any card. I used them a lot on Sat! hehe I even picked up a few new packs. Thanks so much for sending me some to play with, Patricia! Then for this week's CMM color challenge (which is a beautiful rainbow pic) I picked up on several of the bright colors of the umbrella and last but certainly not least, I'm a HUGE lurker of the Oh, Alice challenges and always seem to think about them after the challenge has closed (like last weeks sketch which is awesome and drawn in my sketch book for future use!) I finally got in on this one which is to make it twinkle - I think I've managed that with all the use of stickles on those cuppycakes!! ETA: I forgot I used this week's Friday Sketchers sketch so there are 3 challenges in one card. LOL Be sure to check it out - I love their sketches!

So there you go...oooh, do you SEE that new embossing folder?! omg, it's a new Tim Holtz folder and I'm in LOVE - plus that core'dinations paper is fabulous with them! Eeek, the start of a new paper & embossing folder obsession, I can feel it!

The Burtonesque Dolls - Toe Tag Challenge!

Hehe, that makes me giggle. I knew I wanted to participate in this weeks' Burtonesque Dolls challenge - I absolutely LOVE all their fun & funky challenges - they bring out my dark side & since I just received my fabulous Simply Betty stamps that I won from a previous challenge, it was perfect! Plus, I couldn't pass up the chance to be on for a GDT spot which is the PRIZE this week!!! So, I made a bookmark as my "toe tag" using Miller!! LOL Isn't he so cute?! He was just asking for some red streaks & I had to oblige. I think that's the best part of these stamps is that you can really channel your wild side into them! I colored him using copics & added a little glossy accents to his little friends bug eyes for some added dimension!

I will love marking my place with this fabulous bookmark. I can't wait to make some more to give as gifts, too. I found inspiration for the book mark HERE if you want to check it out. I don't have the Labels 13 die yet but will have to get since it will make it so much easier than cutting everything by hand like I did for this.

The frame stamp I used around Miller is from the {ippity} set Season of Joy and is available for sale on my {ippity} sales blog. This set also happens to coordinate perfectly with the Nesties Labels 10 & 13 dies.

Lil Lolita Challenge #3 - NO DP!

wow, I can't believe it's Challenge #3 week already since Lil Lolita Boutique Challenges began!! I'm so excited. I have to admit, this weeks challenge was a bit tough for me to wrap my little head around! hehe I had to stop making it so hard & finally had an aha moment when I began cleaning my crafty area (see post below to see just how bad it got! LOL). Amazing how that mojo shows up (for me at least) with a clean desk area.

So, the challenge this week is to use NO DP or MAKE YOUR OWN with all those fabulous background stamps you have laying around! I chose to use no DP with the gorgeous Lylah & just embellish with pretty sparkly textured CS & ribbon lace & flowers. How cute is she with purple hair?! Makes me miss my purple hair. hehe I'm so grateful for the new BIG BITE my fabulous friend Shirley sent me as I was able to punch the holes to use the brads on the flowers instead of messing around with glue dots! The fabulous sentiment comes from the {ippity} set A Moment In Time which is available for sale on my {ippity} sales blog - I have two in stock so it will ship immediately! I think it looks so elegant & whimsical paired with Lylah.

WOYWDW - oh my!

I can't believe I'm even SHOWING my desk today!! It's a disaster! Maybe that's why I can't find my mojo - it's buried beneath the mess. LOL I tried working on a DT card for tomorrow & it is just not coming out. I think I need to do a quick cleaning & try again. There are lotsa a new rubber scattered about my desk today! LOL Should make a good game of I-Spy! I almost had to take a new pic b/c I have some rubber that's not yet released hanging about but it's buried, thank goodness! How's that for a teaser.... Oh & the exercise ball is not in the pic today but I alternate from sitting on that & a regular chair when I'm crafting. Just depends on my mood...someone asked last week in the comments!

H{ippity} Hop Monday!

A quick post this morning as I have TONS of catching up on house work to do. One of the pains of working from home is that I am not very good at balancing house work chores with the time I have to work & the kiddos, etc. LOL Stamping has fallen wayyyy behind as well which is a HUGE bummer. I have to get back on track this week somehow. If any of you have tips on how you balance it all, I'd love it if you leave a comment with your suggestions! Some times I feel so overwhelmed with the 3 kiddos, work & house work. LOL

For my card - I used Snippity of Ippity and cut out the DP to create the layout & then used Just Wanted to Say for the thank you sentiment. I love this & it's my new easy to create thank you notes for my customers.

So many different possibilities as you can tell by all the different cards that the DT has come up with! For my card, I used the gorgeous Willow as I was inspired by the flowers, the colors & the texture. I colored her using copics & added some flower soft to the flowers she's holding. Today is the fabulous Kylie K's birthday affectionately called Kylie Blonde as we have two Kylie's on the DT, LOL, so I used her as inspiration for my card this week as well. Happy Birthday!

When I first started stamping I would get a lot of my inspiration & encouragement from the fabulous ladies in the group Card Making Mama's on CafeMom. Since we've all pretty much moved on to Facebook, they've started a challenge blog for us all to follow. Our first challenge is an inspiration challenge and I used the layout as the inspiration for my {ippity} card today. You can check it out HERE.

I honestly cannot get enough of this new October Afternoon paper, altho I always want to call it October Road b/c I LOVED that show! LOL How come all my favorite shows get cancelled?! It's just NOT fair! Anyway, you can see I made the flower embellie using Now & Always - these big flowers are just PERFECT for making gorgeous layered DP flowers.

Happy Day

I've had adorable Jade from TGF's Roll Call kit colored for a while & finally decided what I wanted to use her for. I made this pocket calendar with this weeks Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge & combined it with The Burtonesque Dolls challenge a cut & a shave. LOL I love their challenges & their DT is so inspiring so I am finally participating this time. Besides that - the winner gets TWO Simply Betty stamps & I'm just in love with these new stamps I knew I had to enter to try to win 'em!!! I cut using my nesties & punch for the border & shaved a little using my TH distress tool around the edges. I also distressed a little using some distress ink. I love how it turned out & will have fun carrying around this little pocket calendar.

It's a dreary, rainy day here & I'm one of those odd types that gets my mojo from that kind of weather. I'm not really a sunny kinda gal. LOL So I'm hoping to get LOTS of stamping done today! I've seen so many things this week that I want to try! Now just to narrow it down to what to try first. That's the hard part!

H{ippity} Hop Monday!!

A quick post here! I wanted to make something new for the hop today but I haven't shared these yet & didn't get nearly as much crafting done this weekend as I wanted. I think the heat is stealing my mojo. Not having A/C SUCKS!!! Gonna be another scorcher today, too.

I made these little post cards, very simple, to send to my customers with their stamps. In fact, I need to make a couple more actually as I have 2 more orders that will be going out this week as soon as the stamps arrive! That is SOO exciting!
