Masculine Cards are HARD!

So, my hubby asked me to make him a card for one of his buddies....while I love that he wants to use one of my cards, it's freakin' hard to make a card for a dude! Seriously, so either it comes out too cute like the Happy Chef set from TGF OR it comes out TOO old like my SU! Loads of Love card. Where is the medium ground? I have no idea. I'm going to keep tryin' though....this one was a lost cause, LOL. I have to say my hubby preferred the Happy Chef card. I used last week's Taylored Expression challenge and while I finished it Fri night, I never uploaded it over the weekend so it didn't get entered - oh well, no worries, it was a fabulous sketch! For the Loads of Love set I used last weeks Mojo Monday sketch - and again, didn't upload in time!

Love the Ian card! I absolutely love how you colored his hair! The layout is awesome, too! Great job!

Carisa both cards are awesome masculine cards! I do like the happy chef and how you gave him highlights in his hair.

I love these cards but know what you mean. Have you ever seen Rubber Poet designs?...The men around here rave about anything I make using those ladies. I also keep a look out for things like old planes, trains, watch pieces, olde worlde stuff (like a Penny Farthing)....that has also been quite popular. I have crocodiles an old gentlemen in top hats...that sort of stuff...

I think it is in the actual stamps and colours you choose to work with. I have been commented on a few times by the discerning males around here that we should not restrict ourselves to browns and blues for males. They like colour too. I have taken that comment on board since it has come my way more than once.
