Now for EVERYONE else's opinion --- I wasn't sure about going with a handmade gift. What do you feel about giving AND receiving a handmade gift? Do you love it? Appreciate it? Wish they had gone with a store bought item? Does it depend on the event? I want to know b/c I loved thinking and putting together these gifts but also felt like it wasn't nearly enough.

I personally LOVE hand made gifts, I really think it depends on the recipient...for my MOM...the more hand made the better, for my dad I might as well given him a piece of trash... So I only spend the time and energy on those that appreciate such effort...and I must love I love yours...I'm sure the recipient will as well!

I personally love handmade gifts. They tell me that the person has spent a lot of valuable time thinking of me in the creation that they finally give to me.
However, I always look to the person I am giving to...coz some of them just do not "get" handmade at all and would be quite miffed at getting something not shop bought!
So, I guess it will all be in the character of the receiver! I would ahve been delighted to receive what you made here Carisa. Both the frane and the cards are simply gorgeous!
Like Michelle, I think it sooooo depends on the receiver. I LOVE to get handmade items and made a pact with my Mom & Sister that next Christmas we could go 100% handmade at that house (DH's house is a lost cause LOL). I would be thrilled to receive hand made items, but I'm a crafter and know how much work goes into them.
