Miss Anya Coupon Book

I love these little coupon books. They are extremley simple to make and this one took WAY less time to make than the first one. I probably took 3 hours start to finish on this one including coloring and paper piecing Miss Anya! I love this one so much and it's going with my mom to work tomorrow b/c a lady she works with was interested in seeing one so we'll see if it gets sold or not. If not that's ok too b/c I am kinda luvin' this one more than the first one I made! LOL

ETA: SOLD!!!

Miss Anya Mojo Monday 79

I just had a chance to play with my new Miss Anya's last night and I was completely inspired by this week's Monday Mojo Sketch. I love their sketches and I am filing this one away to use again. I also got some new Ciao Copics at my LSS yesterday and used the new light brown I picked up for her hair. I still need to play around with it some more but I really like the possibilities. I plan on stamping some more today after I go to my LSS and pick up a new huggabug and meet with my friend Angela to trade some images!!!

Thank you, Christy!

OMG, I got the bestest package in the mail today! The notecards that I won from Christy Croll's Magnetic Mondays a couple weeks ago. I had to share a pic with you and I was super surprised when I opened the notecard to find a Huggabug handpainted by the diva herself!!! I have got to get a cute little frame for it so I can put keep it with all my crafty stuff as inspiration. I just adore her and my daughter, Tolla said Oooooh, mom, that's cool! LOL I am over the moon! And I'm even more excited because Mary Kay at the awesome Scrapbook Destinations just started carrying these cute little huggabugs so Colorado girls you better go snagg 'em up quickly, there are only a couple there for a trial run!!! I'm going back tomorrow to pick up one of them. Anyway, just had to share my happy mail today! Thanks again Christy - and don't forget to enter her next giveaway HERE going on now for a CUSTOM stamp image of you. A very cool prize!

More snow pics!

I just can't believe the spring storm we got! LOL My hubby got to stay home today, his boss rocks. My poor mom had to drive in they only gave them a 2hr delay. Me, well, you know I don't get snow days but with hubby home I'll have more help with the girls so I'll be able to work more.
Here is what our backyard looks like this morning. And this is my 2nd post today so be sure to scroll down to see pics of my girls playing in it yesterday!

No cards tonight but I do have Pics to share!

I didn't do any stamping tonight which is a bummer b/c I really wanted to! I just didn't get done working until like 8p and was pretty drained so I decided to finally watch Twilight on DVD (saw it 2x's at the theater!) I work from home so I didn't get a snow day like everyone else! LOL And of course working from home I sometimes put in longer hours than a normal 8-5 job but I also get awesome hug breaks from my 3 yr old so it's a good trade!

Anyway, I don't normally share pics of my girls but wanted to share some pics of them playing in the snow today. They had a blast. It's supposed to snow all night and into the morning. I'll try to get some pics once it's passed.

Here are my girls, Tolla is three and Teagan a.k.a Tiki is two.

Spring Storm and Whiff Of Joy Challenge 23

A view out my backdoor! Isn't it splendid? LOL It's spring and Colorado finally decides we need some snow after a dry, dry winter. Where I live it's being forecasted up to 2' of snow. Yes, that's 2 FEET...LOL We'll see. The girls' sure are looking forwad to putting their snowsuits on and playing in it.
And I was finally able to put a card together for this week's Whiff Of Joy challenge. I got some images from my friend Norma Jean and this was the first time I sat down to color her. It was quite a challenge with all the small spaces, but I am looking forward to coloring her again! I love all the possibilities and look forward to placing an order soon! I have a hard time getting good light inside to take pictures of my cards which is why I prefer to take them outside but for obvious reasons that's not possible today! LOL I hope everyone else is having a more spring-like day!

Did I hear Custom Stamp by Christy Croll?!?!

If you've ever been on Stamping Bella then you've seen Christy's amazing art in the form of stamps called Tiddly Inks & Huggabugs. I adore them. They are perfect for anyone young or young at heart! The images will just make you smile and they're a blast to color. Be sure to check them out and get some here.

But that's not exactly what I wanted to share with you. Christy just made the move to a new website where you can buy her art and keep up with her on her blog. She has a Magnetic Monday challenge each week and the prize includes one of her fabulous pieces. I won last week a set of cute cute cute notecards. This week, in honor of her new web addy, she's is giving away the ultimate -- a CUSTOM DESIGN that you can even have made into a stamp. Do you want the perfect cardback image for all your designs that just scream YOU!? Well, Christy can do it. She did one for Hope you can see here on her blog banner. How cute is that?!!? Anway, to enter just check out her blog and leave some love. If you want you can even let her know I sent ya!

Friday Sketchers - 44

I made this using this week's sketch from Friday Sketchers. I couldn't wait to use the digi image from Nicole at Inky Impressions!!! She is so cute. I cut her out & popped her up on the D to make it look like she's daydreaming. I love the colors on this card as it's been feeling a lot like spring here (even though we're supposed to get snow tomorrow! LOL) I don't have a good printer to use digi images. Especially to use with my copics so I'm not happy with the coloring. Especially the skin as I felt like it was really smearing the ink. I might try coloring with with my pencils next time even though I much prefer copics/bics of course! I hope you like and be sure to check out Inky Impressions where you can pick up this adorable digi stamp for FREE!

I must be dreaming!

Just a quick post b/c I'm busy today but I just have to share my exciting news - You can check it out here. This is really a dream come true b/c I actually woke up Sunday morning after dreaming that I did see my name on the list for the next round! How funny is that?!?!

There is a 2nd part to the DT application process but I'm absolutely thrilled at making it to the top 26 out of 122. I could NOT believe my eyes when I check Nicole's blog this morning. In fact, the first time I scrolled thru the names I went so fast I didn't even see my name! LOL There is so much talent in this group that I am super nervous to put together my next submission but I'm just going to continue to be true to myself and do what I love to do which is what I learned when I took a step back. If you haven't check out Inky Impressions yet, be sure you do I think you will love this new line of stamps, they are super cute!

Welcome Baby!

This is my 2nd post today so be sure to scroll down!

I made this for a group at Cafe Mom - Card Makin' Mamas! It's an old Mojo Monday sketch as well but I don't remember which one. I've been needed some new baby cards as there is a baby boom in my friends' lives right now! LOL I LOVE how this turned out. I used the image from a clear dollar stamp I've had forever and I just picked up this adorable ribbon in the dollar bins at M's the other day.

Cupcake Challenge - Brown + 1

I made this for this week's cupcake challenge! The challenge was Brown + 1 (pink, blue or green) and I chose green but there is also some blue. I needed to make a bday card for my manager. I think she'll like it. I still want to make her a post-it note holder so I will be busy busy busy today! I love how this turned out. I used the SU set Simple Birthday Thanks and just didn't ink up the inside of the bottom of the cupcake. Then I inked the top of the cupcake on coordinating paper and ran it thru my cuttlebug. I wish I had the swirls folder but I don't so I had to use the next best one I thought would work and I can't remember the name of it! LOL Of course I love bling so I added some stickles and baubles to finish it off.

I actually won something!

Two things really. I forgot to post awhile back that I won some blog candy! And I got it really fast last week - a fabulous paper set and some matching embellishments. Actually this card uses some of the papers from the paper pack.

I also won some gorgeous notecards from one of my favorite stamp designers, you can catch her art in the form of stamps at Stamping Bella - it's Tiddly Inks! I LOVE LOVE LOVE these stamps and love all her art now that I've found her blog. So you can imagine how excited I was when I won some of her creations!

Anyway, no projects to share -- I'm taking a break (until this weekend, LOL). I need to take a step back and re-evaluate some things. I don't talk a lot about my personal life on my blog and I am NOT about to start! LOL I'm reading a really good book though right now. It's called A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle. I tried reading this last year or so when it was on Oprah's book club but it just wasn't clicking....however, I've picked it up again and I hope I can finish it this time as I think it could really have a big impact for me.

Coupon Book

I saw this awesome coupon book a couple weeks ago made by my blogging buddy, Elizabeth, and I knew I wanted to try it. It took me awhile to put together, with all the folding and measuring, cutting etc. b/c my file folders were a bit different in size than the instructions. But that's ok, I love the end outcome. I actually made a couple weekends ago so it's been in good use already and I did make a matching pen but my girls have already stolen that! LOL I want to make another one for my BIL and his wife, I have the papers already selected and just need to find the time to get to it!!! I probably won't use bella's on theirs though. I want to keep it simple and basic for them.

Mojo Monday 78!

I am behind on posting pictures, so please scroll down to see them all!

I wish I could've taken a better pick of this card but I made it tonight (and only get sucky pictures in my house). I actually made this card for my mom to take with her to work tomorrow so I won't be able to get a better pic when the sun is out. They are having some sort of raffle at her work and asked me to make a couple cards for one of the prizes. It was a pretty cool request to get. I hope they like it. I also submitted this card and the third fairy tink card posted below.

Fairy Tink

So last Wednesday, I knew Marie over at TGF was going to get Fairy Tink in stock so I called her and met up with her b/c I am SO lucky that she is local. She was very sweet and had two of the most adorable and "ahem" hyper dogs ever! She was so great though, we chatted for a bit and she showed me her new DPs (hopefully coming out SOON) and even GAVE me a set for to try out....how cool is that?!?! Pretty darn cool in my book. If I can ever bear the thought of cutting it up to create with it....LOL
Anyway, I couldn't stop creating with fairy tink this weekend and ended with 3 cards total. I hope you likey! This stamp reminds me of my daughter Teagan, which is neat b/c her middle name is Faye.

Masculine Cards are HARD!

So, my hubby asked me to make him a card for one of his buddies....while I love that he wants to use one of my cards, it's freakin' hard to make a card for a dude! Seriously, so either it comes out too cute like the Happy Chef set from TGF OR it comes out TOO old like my SU! Loads of Love card. Where is the medium ground? I have no idea. I'm going to keep tryin' though....this one was a lost cause, LOL. I have to say my hubby preferred the Happy Chef card. I used last week's Taylored Expression challenge and while I finished it Fri night, I never uploaded it over the weekend so it didn't get entered - oh well, no worries, it was a fabulous sketch! For the Loads of Love set I used last weeks Mojo Monday sketch - and again, didn't upload in time!

Inky Impressions First DT Call

Another DT call! There are so many fabulous stamp companies out there and every week I find out about a new DT call which is great b/c I just can't stop entering them! I know it will happen some day! Inky Impressions is having their First EVER DT call and all they asked is that we pick 2 of our best work and create a post on our blog. You can check out the fabulous details for the DT call on their challenge blog.

Here is my entry:

Do you ever design a card in your mind for a sketch and you have everything picked out and you're just dying to get home so you can put it from thought to reality? Well, this is what happened for my card using this weeks Monday Mojo Challenge. The best part, it looks even better put together than it did in my mind! Now that is something! LOL

Crimped Envelope Pocket Card

I've been dying to try this technique and just got around to it recently for my SIL's bday. You can find the Crimped Envelope Tutorial here. My parents are going to see them today and this is the perfect card for hand delivery. It was a blast to make. I am really loving the spongy inked look. Oh and the Celebrate stamp was a free stamp I got from That's Jazzy Stamp Dreams. It's a fabulous polymer stamp that inks super clear and crisp. Thanks Sheila, I love it! And that's my new MS lacy border punch I got after feeling down from my dentist appointment on Friday, LOL. Yes, retail therapy is BIG in my life. ;) I also got some glue dots and white CS so I can finally catch up on all my image swaps!!!

And here is the card inside. I love Bettina Buttercream, so cute and so fun to color. I just love all her curls.

Thanks for looking!

Handmade gifts...

I made a couple gifts for a friend who is having a baby very very soon! Good luck Diana and I can't wait to meet your new little one.

Now for EVERYONE else's opinion --- I wasn't sure about going with a handmade gift. What do you feel about giving AND receiving a handmade gift? Do you love it? Appreciate it? Wish they had gone with a store bought item? Does it depend on the event? I want to know b/c I loved thinking and putting together these gifts but also felt like it wasn't nearly enough.

So here they are:
